We really enjoyed our stay at Emerald Towers West with our Grandsons and Son & Daughter-in-law.
The beach was clean and not crowded at all. After the storms, the water was not the beautiful blues we have come to expect on Okaloosa, but it was still wonderful.
We appreciated having the umbrella and chairs set up each day for our use.
Great food all around the area. -

This vacation was very relaxing. The reservation process went well. Also the payment process went well. We were very happy with the condo. It had everything we needed. We liked having the beach chairs included and thank you for the extra chair. The chairs on the balcony were nice also. Glad they were not plastic. We especially liked the coded lock system. Made it easy to come and go. We hope to go back again. The beach was gorgeous. Nice quiet condo and family atmosphere.

Our group really enjoyed our stay. The condo was large enough for 7 ladies. However, we were not too happy with no bathroom door in the master suite. There were some cleaning issues.
The girl who elected to sleep on the pull out sofa found it
much to uncomfortable for sleeping. Said it was just lumpy.
We will be back on aug 23/24th. Will be looking for a condo
smae size again.
This being said, my dealings with the owner were extremely pleasurable. -

I hate to complain but the beach was horrible. We never went into the water at our condo because of the seaweed. We traveled to Henderson State Park to enjoy a perfect beach without seaweed! We've had problems with seaweed at Ft. Walton several times and aren't sure we'll come back but your condo was beautiful, your staff was very helpful, we liked not having to go somewhere to actually check in, we appreciated the keyless entry, and many other things. I know it isn't your fault there was seaweed but it did put a damper on our vacation. We live in Oklahoma. We so look forward to the one vacation we take a year. You can't help the beach so we do thank you for everything else!

Our family has stayed at Emerald Towers West prior to this vacation and liked the size of the complex and wanted that same atmosphere again. The unit size was perfect and had everything we needed. I do recommend they get scatter throw rugs beacuse of the tile and the sand brought in. There also needs to be blankets for the beds and the blinds need to be updated. There are broken and missing vertical blinds and therefore you have no privacy in the master bedroom! I don't mean to complain, I just thought you would want to know how to better the stay for others. We had a fabulous stay with our family and will certainly check into staying there next summer as well. Thanks!!

The condo was average, but was not as classy as the pictured depicted it. Overall, we were satisfied. The condo had everything we needed. We just expected it to be a little more plush based on the pictures. Instead, it had cheap white tile with chips all over it that looked like dirt on the floor.

We loved this condo from the location on Okaloosa Island to the comfort and style of the decor. The view is great and we had no problems with anything in the condo not working- everything was great. I highly recommend this condo.

Our experience with this condo, and owner, has been nothing but a+. As much as I would like to keep this secret all to ourselves, I would recommend for anyone looking for a good quality, spacious, and oceanfront property without crowded beaches. First, the reservation process through the owner via Vrbo was seemless and the price was the best I found for the value/location. The pictures tell a lot, but the decor was very tasteful and did not have the normal 'tropical' cheap decor we had seen before. Secondly, the building was small and less congested than many others nearby. The pool was not crowded and the access to the beach was very convenient. Chairs and an umbrella awaited us every day and was also not congested or overcrowded. It felt like having our own private beach. The master bedroom is worth fighting for if you share the condo with another couple. However, both larger bedrooms have a king bed and plenty of room. The middle room with twin beds was perfect for two children. The condo is well equiped from kitchen supplies to washer/dryer. The large dining table was great for gathering in addition to the bar area. Plenty of time could be spent on the balcony overlooking nothing but beach and water. This owner is very easy to work with and knows what to expect as an owner. I will look forward to contacting them again for our next trip to the beach.

The view was perfect. The home was nice and roomy. The location was nice. But, what's up with no door on the bathroom? That needs to be addressed!!!The tile floors are beautiful, but, how about a rug or two. You constantly felt sand on your feet and it was so cold to hit that first thing in the morning. The pool really is pitiful.

I loved the view in this condo and it was great to have a bathroom to every bedroom. Everything was up to date and well stocked. Only thing is that it came to $266 per night which is quite high to me. I would love to stay here again but not so sure I am willing to pay that price again.

First of all, we all had a great time! We were impressed with how organized Southern Resorts is and how smoothly everything ran. The condo was very clean and comfortable. However, the kitchen is small and not well stocked or equipped for those who like to cook. (You'll need basics like coffee filters and salt and paper.)It has 3 bathrooms which is a real plus but there is no door on the master bath so that was very inconvenient. We had to purchase toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags as not enough were given. They provided plenty of towels, along with dishwasher soap, liquid dish soap,and detergent for one wash which was great. There is no trash chute so you have to walk your trash out to the dumpster by the road. The elevator is situated as far away from the boardwalk to the beach as it could be but the unit isn't big and the boardwalk is short so it's not too bad. The small pool is on the street side of the condo in the parking lot and is not inviting at all. But, the view from our deck in the condo is beautiful and the bedrooms are spacious. The unit is convenient to a grocery store, restaurants, shops, etc. The beach was wonderful and the service on the beach was great. We were given 2 beach chairs and an umbrella every day. They're put away in the late afternoon so take extra chairs if you like to be out later than that as we did. The condo also has a kayak for rent by the hour or day. I would recommend that. The sand is amazing but you take your chances with the water. It was beautiful and clear the first and last day we were there (5 days). One day dense seaweed floated into shore right in front of the condo so it was murky and we got seaweed in our suits! At least it was chopped up and soft! There were dead fish and sea slugs, but we watched the fascinating seagulls. The kids used their masks and found pretty seashells (& a sand dollar!) with or without the seaweed. We would definitely use Southern Resorts again, but probably stay somewhere different.

The condo was wonderful and had everything we needed for the week. The beach is well maintained and the Emerald Isle does not disappoint sun lovers. I have a few negative comments that made the trip less enjoyable. The sliding glass doors in the condos are very heavy so when the guests above us went in and out the door you could hear the door shutting. This would not be so bad during the day time but the guest above us were very young and up all night. It was not pleasant to loudly hear the sliding glass door opening and closing several time up until 4:30 am. There is no attendant or security guard so the only answer was to call the police which I did not want to do so I decided to suffer through with minimal sleep. Beach maintenance is done around 6:00 am so if you are sleeping in a beach front room your wake up call is the sound of a tractor engine.
The last comment I have is regarding the Destin traffic. I really did not expect the amount of traffic we encountered from 11:00 am through the late evening hours. We were witness to several accidents due to the poor design of the road system.
Although I love Southern Resorts and will continue to use them I think we will stay in another area of the pan handle next year. -

While our Condo was very nice from the standpoint of the floor plan, the noise from outside was very annoying. Anytime the people from above us walked across the floor it was very noisy. The sliding glass doors to the balconies were even worse and when anyone within two rooms of us closed the main door to their condo, it was also very loud. If you want to get any rest, do not stay in Emerald Towers. The concrete floor construction must have no insulation between the floors.

Our family just returned from our trip to Emerald Towers, and we must say it was wonderful! Great views of the beach, plenty of room for 6 adults and 2 babies! The pool isn't that great and our disposal didn't work in our unit (Southern resorts did take care of the problem).
The best thing about Emerald Towers West is the beach is never too crowded and the units are very nice! We will go back and have recommended it to friends already! -

This was our second time staying in this condo. It is perfect for us. Each spacious bedroom has it's own full bath and the spacing makes each one very private. The kitchen, dining and living areas are so large and open that we can all spend time together while doing different activities.
We love staying here!
The only negatives at all are the small deck and the kitchen could be better stocked for those of us who like to cook. But those are minor things compared to the real pleasure of staying here. The beds are incredibly comfy, there is plenty of seating in the living area and the view can't be beat. We will probably be back yet again! -

We had a wonderful time!!! The view was spectacular and the condo was very well equipped. We had to move the coffee table to give us a little more room in the living room, but overall it was great.
The only thing I would've changed was to put a door on the bathroom in the master suite... that was a little wierd.
