I've been leasing and renting along the Florida Panhandle for several years now and believe can speak from experience. My stay was truly the best from the perspective of top flight service to quality to fantastic accessibility (includes easy to find, park, beach). I can safely say in all my years of renting on the beach the time spent at The Blue Dolphin (and Water's Edge) were amongst the top tier. Highly recommended!

The first thing that greeted me as I opened the door was the smell of citrus and cleanliness. A beautifuuly appointed condo unit that was clean as a whistle! What a fine housekeeping staff must have readied it. And most welcome was the starter "package" of kitchen supplies and toilet tissue. The coffemaker was giving me some trouble, and when I called about it, it was almost immediately replaced. Waters Edge is a wonderful complex - manageable with only 6 floors, a convenient parking structure that serves floors 1, 3 & 4 which makes it so easy for carrying in groceries without having to use the elevator, a large
pool on the beach plus a smaller, shallower heated one for the little ones. Waters Edge is only a 5 minute drive from the "action" of Destin, but Okaloosa Island, where the condo unit is located, has its own attractions and is a rather peaceful place. A great beach destination! Thank you for a great vacation and for the gorgeous weather, too...just in case you had anything to do with it! -

The condo was just what we needed with two small children. The bunks were perfect! The view was awesome and we found the washer/dryer vital on a week vacation, so glad it was in the condo. The condo itself was really nice with new carpet and kitchen counters. When we arrived, the floors were dirty and I had to mop them myself. This unit could use a new mattress in the master, but it was ok. Overall a good vacation.

This was our second summer in a row to vacation at Waters Edge. The beach is beautiful; kids love the pool. The condo complex feels very safe. The staff was always friendly when we passed them in the hallways. Keyless entry is awesome. It's nice to arrive directly at the condo without having to stop somewhere for check in. And no worries about lost keys! Everything you'd need is close by: a nice grocery store, beach stores, restaurants.

complaints are very small parking places,
the unit needs new non-stick cookware, and
as an adult, I feel like I should be the
judge of where I place my drink while sitting on the side of the pool (especially) when it is nearly empty!! -

The room was great and perfect for a family with two small kids. The kitchen has basics (everything we needed!), and check-in was ideal for us. We're already planning our return trip and may have to stay in a different room as more family wants to come with us after our great time there.

My wife and I were there for a week. This is the 3rd time we have spent a week in September. This time like all the others was GREAT. It's a great time of year to visit. The home had a tropical feel with the way it was decorated and gave you the feeling you were on vacation. The unit had everything we needed and was clean. We like the Ft Walton area better than Destin as things are more related and peaceful. Are plans are to include a spring time trip next year as well as our fall trip.

We would definitely stay here again. This was a very nice, clean, conveniently located unit that worked fairly well for our family of 5 for the price. The people at Southern Resorts were tremendously helpful. We are looking forward to another visit.
On a side note, the kitchen was lacking several items that made cooking a little difficult so you may want to plan ahead if you are planning on eating in. -

From the keyless entry to the short walk to the beach my family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The condo was beautiful. Enjoyed the view from the balcony, albeit the balcony was small. The bunk beds and pull-out could have been more comfortable.
The location was great! Really appreciated the parking garage. For the amount of rental, I would have appreciated an earlier check-in and a later check-out. The pool was large, clean and warm. Appreciated one pool attendant enforcing the "no smoking" rule around pool area. Wished the pool would have stayed open later than 10PM. Overall,
would stay there again. The terms of service to read are too lengthy and therefore intimidating. -

THE LOCATION WAS PERFECT. WE WERE RIGHT ON THE BEACH. THE CONDO WAS GOOD AND IT WAS STOCKED JUST RIGHT. WE DIDN'T NEED SERVICE FROM ANYONE DURING THE WHOLE STAY. THE BEACH WAS GREAT AND THE GUYS THAT TOOK CARE OF THE CHAIRS AND UMBRELLA DID A GREAT JOB. THE ONLY COMPLAINT I HAD WAS LOW WATER PRESSURE IN THE MASTER SHOWER AND THE BED WAS HARD AS A ROCK. OTHER THAN THAT EVERYTHING WAS GREAT. NEXT YEAR WE WILL MOST LIKELY GET A CONDO WITH A KING BED INSTEAD OF A QUEEN.

We loved Fort Walton Beach and The Water's Edge. We loved being on the third floor with the ocean view. The condo was great but right over the pool other than that it was great!

I had stayed at this location the previous year and loved it. This year
the weekend we arrived, it was extremely loud/rowdy around the pool late afternoon/early evening. Fortunately, we were there for a week and after Sunday, things calmed down. (Not sure I will return, however.)
