We have spent the past twent five years staying next door to this place because it was our favorite spot on the beach to visit. We now have a new favorite place. The unit was very clean, up to date decor and very convenient to the parking lot, pool, and beach. The only regret is that the beach view is limited. However, the whole experience was wonderful. I love that a tractor sweeps these beaches each morning and has for years. I love that the check in was all electronic and paperless. So easy! We will visit again in spring.

Very clean and well managed. Lack of napkins/paper towels threw us the first day. Pool was not exciting and was crowded, but beach and beach access were wonderful. Condo is nice and quiet because it is off by itself (end unit). Note: beach water is much clearer (less seaweed/debris in water) when travel west of Destin.

Our stay was wonderful, we had everything we needed in the condo to cook, you might bring coffee filters, and salt n pepper, really liked the location of the room, somewhat away from other guests, very quiet. Friends stayed on sofa sleeper and said it wasn't real comfortable, but we were overall very happy and pleased with everything.

We enjoyed our stay at Water's Edge. The condo was wonderful---very clean and well equiped. The pool closing at 10PM was an hour too early. All in all it was a great experience and worth a return visit.

Perfect unit for our family of four. LOTS of storage, very clean, nice furnishings (all updated), excellent kitchen equipped with everything you need (including an in-door water/ice dispenser), great view of the ocean. This is the only unit located down its hallway, so it's secluded, which equals very quiet. We've been burned with rentals before (outdated furnishings, yucky floors and bedding, etc.), but this was an excellent choice. Would definitely stay in this unit again.

This was a first time beach trip for the child of the family..first time deepsea fishing....first family vacation in a long time. Everything went perfectly!!! The condo was spacious, very clean and stocked with everything we needed for the week. I would and have recommended it to anyone wanting to go to Florida.

We booked this rental when our area was evacuated for hurricane Gustave. This was a clean and nicely furnished unit. It was ideal for two people, although it could have slept more, but with only one bath that would have been somewhat of a problem. The leasing agents were very helpful and easy to work with. We enjoyed our visit and would definitely consider a return visit.

Although we love the area, and have stayed at this property several times, we were dissapointed by the sight of RATS in the parking area and also when my wife was getting off the elevator she was challenged by a maintenance man/janitor as to her residency. When we complained to the staff (off site) they were less then apologetic, as a matter of fact they did not respond to my email.I would stay here one more time to see if there are improvements. But on my last visit (Spet 08) I stayed in a Hotel.

We had a wonderful time while on our vacation. We usually stay in Destin and thought we'd give Ft. Walton a shot. Both are amazing. For our family, we now know that we prefer Destin only because we like a little more activity. However, Ft. Walton was so peaceful and the accomidations were equal to those of Destin. Still able to get to everything within a 15 min. ride. Overall, we thank Southern Resorts once again for helping us find a wonderful home away from home.

We love the condo, it was much nicer than I expected. We had everything we needed. I would love to be there today. The only problem we had was with the beach rental people not being at there post. This was our 1st time there and did not know all the rules and they were not very nice in explaining stuff to us. But over all loved the beach and the condo was amazing and the view was wonderful.
