We were very pleased and satisfied with our stay in this condo at Emerald Towers West. The condo was very clean and comfortable. It was well supplied and the amenities were very nice. We did have a little maintenance trouble (clogged toilet and bathroom light out) that took a couple of days to fix but they did take care of it. The patio furniture was pretty worn, but the last day of our stay a brand new patio set was delivered. Overall we had a great experience and would definitely rent here again!

It rained most of the time we were there and that was unfortunate, but other than the weather we had a great time. The condo was in a quite, out of the way location. I loved having an umbrella and beach chairs every day already set up for us. The beaches were very clean and beautiful. The only negative was the sofa sleeper and the bunk beds. They were very uncomfortable and probably need to be replaced with new mattresses. The bed in the bedroom was comfortable. Having a 1st floor condo made it very convenient and the view was spectacular! We will be going back again to stay!

Great Location on Okaloosa Island! Beach was clean and close. The condo was clean and has everything you need. However, don't count on the sofa bed. It is not usuable! Needs to be replaced. Otherwise, it was a nice, clean and convenient to the beach condo.

We just checked on the sofa bed and could not find anything wrong with it. It pulls out OK and the queen mattress is in good shape as well. We have received no complaints from the guests at all.

Check out is at 10am, and after check out we wanted to go to the beach for a couple of hours before heading home. It would have been really nice to be allowed to use the beach umbrella and chairs for free that morning.

We were satisfied with the condo. Love the easy access to the beautiful beach, and really love the fact that you include with the rental 2 beach loungers and a umbrella (WoW), and you even went further and give movie rentals for free while you are there. Great fun! Great location! Great value! We will use Brooks/Shorey Properties again.

We were really looking forward to the dolphin cruise, but wasn't able to use it on the weekend. (Booked on Sat. and no cruises on Sunday.) And you cant use it on the day you leave. Kinda inconvienent. Didn't use any of the aminiteies. But still had a great time.

The sheets on the bed and the pillows were stained. I ended up sleeping in the bunk beds instead. Also, I am a frequent renter (business). It would be nice if there were some sort of recognition for this status. My group sends men down there regularly (especially in the off season) and we support these properties in these low times. Some recognition and/or rewards program would be greatly appreciated.

The only thing this property has going for it is the location. The TVs, furniture and pool need to be updated. The furniture had a old raunchy smell to it. The TVs were blurry and outdated. The pool was very small and in front of the property near the parking lot. No hot tub! The room was clean, the appliances were in goood condition and acceptable. The view was beatiful though.

I've lived or traveled to this area for over 20 years and have always loved it! This was a nice unit, well located, clean and quiet! Parking for loading/unloading is tricky, but not a major issue! Perfect long weekend get away in a very nice, but down to earth unit! We didn't spend the whole trip worried about the grandson breaking anything!

The accomodations were more than we expected. It was a very nice condo with an excellent view. We even watched the dolphins from the balcony on several occasions. We had a wonderful time and will definitely return to paradise.

We were very satisfied with our stay. The only small complaint would be, that our view was very nice, but being on the ground floor, our view of the beach directly in front was obstructed by the sand dune. We could not see the beach or the waters edge. Looking side to side the protective dunes were smaller in hieght.We could hear the waves fine but that was all. We could hardly see the people walking on the beach,from the neck up. Forget watching the children play. Thanks.

We had an amazing time in Ft.Walton/Okaloosa/Destin. What a great area to vacation in our own country! Forget Mexico or all the other beach locales. I'm keeping my vacation money here in the U.S.! The only minor issue in cleanliness is that under the beds it was a bit dirty/dusty and needed sweeping. Absolutely, relatively, minor in my books! This condo was nicely decorated and very convenient to the beach with a great view. NO issues with having to wait for an elevator or running up and down the stairs. The owners really take pride in their investment. I will highly recommend this condo and Brooks and Shorey Resorts, Inc. Thanks for making this trip memorable!

I love the fact that our condo was on the bottom and the beach was right out the patio ansd then you go out your front door and there was the pool. The water was crystal blue until it rained..amazing beach..amazing condo...

We had a wonderful experience. I loved our condo - first floor ocean view. I want to express how impressed I was with the beach service ( umbrella/chairs) both young men who set up were very personable and polite - I can't say that very often you come across such attentive young folks - they were an asset to our entire stay. We were me w/smiles upon arrival and departure. Very quiet, relaxing stay. I am looking forward to returning. Since I had also invited other friends I was very happy that the accommodations and beach location were so nice. We only had a few minor problems w/the condo - all we reported to the attendant. i.e. an iron fell out of the closet and just missed my head - apparently it had not been placed securely. The attendant offered to have staff come to the condo if needed - very customer friendly. You have great staff. thanks again

The Brooks & Shorey personnel were fine. We hadn't previously been to Fort Walton Beach, so the area was new to us, and there were some things we didn't expect: (1) The first floor one-bedroom units in the building have the bedroom on the parking-lot/walkway side of the building, so when people arrive late at night, or leave in the wee hours, and talk as they're walking, or roll their luggage, people trying to sleep will be awakened. (2) This unit was dirty, dusty floors, dust balls under the bed, cob webs in corners, etc. Apparently it hadn't been used for some time, and that being a first floor unit, it is prone to be more dirty. We think it should have been thoroughly cleaned immediately before our arrival. (3) The noise from the unit above us sounded as heavy furniture was being dragged across the ceramic tile floor several times each day - just a little irksome. Also the tenants above walked as if there were elephants in the unit - sometimes even during the night. (4) The outside of the building was being painted while we were there. This added to the noise during the day, and we had to park the car some distance away to be assured we didn't have paint spray on the vehicle. (5) Also, we noted tenants from two different units walking their dogs (one tenant had THREE little dogs) on the small grassy area between the porch and the beach; the owners didn't have any scoopers; and we thought this was a no-pets building. We really don't care to "step in it," and we noticed many people (without scoopers) walking their dogs on the sidewalks, and grassy areas along Santa Rosa Blvd.

This unit was very dusty (cobwebs & dustbunnies) when we arrived. We were told that is because it is a first floor unit. Well, we thought it was going to be clean. Also, it sounds as if we have elephants walking, and dragging furniture on the floor in the unit above us, throughout the day and evening, virtually every day. We were simply told that is because there are tile floors. Plus, the painters and their equipment add to the noise. Sorry, but this has not been our best experience in a Florida condo.

The mattess on the king bed was not comfortable. The mattress was saging on the left hand side nearest the bathroom. The shower curtain that goes inside the tub was dirty. It was difficult to figure out how the shower worked. The tub was not clean. The curtains on the right hand side going out to the balcony was hanging down. Over all we had a good stay. I feel with a few minor corretions this would be a great condo to stay in.

Overall,nice value and great location. My wife and I were disappointed in the cleanliness of the condo. The brochure gave the reason for such a late check-in as 4pm so as to give the staff time to meet their exacting standards of cleanliness- my wife and I had to clean the table, rewash dishes and sweep before we went to bed. Maybe the maid was having a bad day, never the less, we recomend the unit and the staff. We would stay again.

Well, it didn't. Our groups only common area was the parking lot!! Another family in our group experienced an ant invasion. Ants completely took over their clothes in the dressers, got in their toiletries in the bathroom, took over the beds, it was awful!! Brooks & Shorey did get them another room the next day, but in no way compensated them for the inconvenience. They had gone to the store and bought poison, spray,laundry soap, etc. but were not reimbursed.
