This rental included amenties not normally included: beach service for two, unlimited movie rental, tickets to a dolphin cruise and golfing. The property is clean and well supplied. Management team is professional, friendly and helpful

Our family rented two units.605 was lovely but dirty. 610 was in horrible shape and we were still charged 2000. per week. We tried to communicate effectively with the manager however he was rude and told us he would not contact the owner, the owner was fully aware of the condition of the unit and it would be rented regardless of our displeasure. As a southern girl, I have never been treated by a man the way I was treated and dismissed. I will not return to Ft. Walton because he is a representative of the area. All 8 our our guests agreed it was one of the worst treatments ever. The condos have so much potential. We are sad for the owners.

I have stayed at many different places in Florida. This was not one of my favorites. About the only positive thing I could find is the location and view were great. The carpet is very stained and needs to be replaced. The blinds were missing slats. There was a very loud banging noise (hot water heater, or pipes) in the master room at night and I am a very light sleeper so I did not get much sleep. Also the bulbs were blown out in the guest bedroom. I feel like the condo should have been in better condition given the price. I would not stay here again or recommend it to a friend.

Had a very nice stay. Beautiful location with a beautiful beach and well maintained only disappointment was that the furniture and carpeting were spotted and felt unclean. Would have also been nice if the garage parking was available to keep the car out of the hot sun.

I will never use Brooks and Shorey again, the woman named Iga that worked the front desk has got to be the ruidest person that lives in Ft Walton. with what i paid for that condo you think that i would not have to get an attitude from the desk clerk about wanting enough wash rags that everyone in the condo can have their own. Thats right when I asked for WASH RAGS her comment was "can't you wash them" and when i called the owner his comment was "I hope that you give us another chance but if not I understand" and then he hung up on me. I dont feel like that is how you treat people that just spent 1300.00 with you. eva and barbara are great it's just to bad that the rest of the staff and the owner are not like them. I will spend my money else where next year. I suggest that everyone else does also, that is if you want to have a care free vacation. Not one having to beg for wash rags and oh yeah you only get 1 roll of toilet paper so bring your own, 1300.00 only gets you 1 roll of toilet paper and 2 wash rags. But you get a whole lot of attitude from IGA. I always thought that you get what you pay for but not at Brooks and Shorey

I come up to Flordia every year on the same weekend and this year it was very difficult to get a decent price on a condo for some reason. I also liked being up the strip more and I liked the lay out of Gulf Dunes better than the Pelican Isle. I think that the Pelican Isle was a beautiful place to stay overall. I also had a problem in the master bedroom with a loud sound that I was told that we would have to wait until the morning to deal with. Again, overall had a great trip and cannot wait to come back next year!!

I was disappointed in the cleanliness and upkeep of the condo. The bathrooms looked like they had only been swiped over, the bathroom and kitchen floors were not swept, and the dishes in the kitchen were not clean. Some of the furnishings were shabby and for the price I was looking for something better. We were there for TS Claudette and the morning we left I noticed the screen door on the balcony had a loose screen. The storm was responsible for that, not us.

There were not enough towels and wash cloths in the unit. Had to call someone to replace vacuum belt. Highly suggest tile floors be mopped better to aleviate extreme dirty entrances into bedrooms. and living room.

Unfortunately, I was less than impressed with the unit I stayed in. The carpeting was well worn, stained and dirty and in my opinion needed replacement. When I complained to your staff, they said your records indicated the rugs had been cleaned only a few months ago. Well they sure didn't look like it.
In addition, the furniture in the living room was also well used and badly worn. I have a bad back but in spite of this, I found it almost impossible to sit on the sofa or chairs.Also, the bed linens in the master bedroom were like tissue paper they were so thin but your staff was able to replace them promptly.
While I don't like to complain, certainly at the prices charged for the accommodations, I was, overall disappointed. -

This was the second time to stay at Pelican Isle. This time the unit needed to be repainted and the carpet was dirty. The tv went out during our stay and the blender did not work. This unit really needed some TLC.

Location was amazing, however the condo could have been much cleaner. There was hair and dirt in the bathrooms and tub - did not even use tub for this reason. Couch in okay condition but needs to be replaced. Chairs on balcony need to be replaced. Rest of condo in good condition. Grounds in great condition.
