The home was very comfortable, and the kitchen well furnished. Our view of the beach was wonderful, and we enjoyed seeing dolphins the first morning of our visit.
The only problem we had with the condo was that the ice maker didn't work. Even after someone checked it twice and said it was fixed, it never was. One guy said he'd come look at it the next morning, but never did. Luckily part of the family was nearby, so they always brought ice.
The location was good - not far from Destin and other areas of interest, that we went to , like the gulfarium, and hands on science museum, and the pier, and Fudpuckers, and Big Kahuna's.

The condo was just as described. Had everything to make my family comfortable during our stay. We will definitely be back to this unit. Dale Peterson vacations was a good company to go through, they make the reservation process very easy and were very nice people to deal with.

Island Princess #600 is by far our favorite vacation condo. This is our 4th
stay at Island princess and our second in 600. We love the view, the accommodations are excellent, updated furnishings and always clean. Our favorite part is the small courtyard outside the front door. Perfect place for beach toys and other "sandy" stuff. We'll definitely be back next year! -

We have stayed for many years with anchor and Dale Peterson and this our favorite place in the Destin area. The white sand and emerald water are unsurpassed. Beach service is great. The staff is out polishing the Princess every day and it shows. All staff were friendly, courteous, helpful and worked very hard! They were superb! This began when Dave checked us in and continued throughout our stay. Dave is that perfect person to run the Island Princess and he does a magnificent job! We saw Dave every day and he is the consumate professional. The property is well maintained. The owner has a very nice unit that we have rebooked this Spring.It is obvious the owner has furnished the unit very nicely. We highly reccomend it. We truly love the Island Princess and look forward to our fourth stay this Spring.

Our stay at IP unit 600 was great. This is a nice unit. However the carpeting is worn, especially in the living room and should be replaced. It still was perfectly clean of course, the carpet fibers were just matted and crushed. As usual, the rental manager, David 'Dave' Nemtusiak at the on site IP Okaloosa Island Rental Office, makes a world of difference. He made booking the unit a pleasure and permitted a generously late checkout time without hesitation. They need to keep him around...

unit 600 was the nicer unit. at ip we have stayed at. we have stayed at ip for 8 0r 9 8 or 9 years unit 600 was the best one of all others. clean and well equiped. will ask for it again next year.

This is the best place I've stayed so far. It was very clean, beautiful, and very comfy. I loved this private corner room with side and front balcony. Very close to elevator and very quiet and peaceful. I don't think I would change anything. I had a great experience!

We had an awesome time. We love staying right on the beach. The condo was nice and clean. This is the 3rd year we have stayed with Dale Peterson. The only negative is the ammenties they give you. My son reserved his deep sea fishing trip, got there at 7:30 am just to be told they had canceled it. He was not very happy. Needless to say, we did not do any of the other things they gave us.

The condo 601 we stayed in at the Island Princess was large, clean & the kitchen was well equipped. We were on the sixth floor which was a little inconvienent because the elevators were VERY slow. However, we were two families with children & the condo itself was perfect. The furnishings were a little dated, but should be expected when staying in a rental. The beach sercive was great & my husband & five year old daughter loved the chartered kids fishing trip. The pool area was over crowded & small. We never got in the pool because of the amount of people there. I would recommend this condo for anyone with a large family looking for a peaceful beach getaway.

We have stayed at the Island Princess numerous times, usually on lower floors on the West end of the complex. This was the first time we stayed on the East end in Unit 600. This 6th floor, corner unit with wrap around balcony was a pleasure to stay in. My family really loved the decor and the gulf views were incredible. I especailly liked the location of this end unit, close to the elevator, but yet still privately tucked back behind a gated patio. We will definitely bookmark this unit as one of our favorites at the Island Princess. The only complaint I had was not about the unit, but about the complex; ALL OF THE ELAVATORS ARE TOO SLOW. We spent several minutes waiting for elevators to reach the 6th floor. Even with the slow elevators, it was not enough of a hinderance to deter us from staying at the Island Princess again.

We had a wonderful vacation this past summer staying at the Island Princess! My family (especially the kids)loved staying right on the beach. The room was excellent, great view, and the beaches were wonderful. We will diffently go back. I highly recommend it to anyone.

We had spent 20 years vacationing in the Destin area until we discovered this wonderful property. If you are looking for the charm and simplicity of decades ago this is the place.
Not one condo in this area is taller than 7 stories, what a great feeling after being surrounded by dehumanizing monoliths with 15 minute elevator rides!
Some of the many superlatives are as follows:
Comfortable and well equiped rooms.
Directly on the beautiful gulf.
Pool area was very nice.
Beach chairs and umbrella included with the room.
Shower and sand clean off area perfect.
Free golf and DVD rentals which we did get to use but will next year for sure.
Close to any beach activity in Ft Walton if you can bring yourself to leave The Island Princess.
Staff met our every need and request.
The proof is in the pudding, we booked our return visit for next year before we left.
If you are looking for an ultra modern, high rise with crowded beaches and traffic jams this place is not for you. If you are looking for comfort combined with peaceful relaxation on a human scale then look no further.
