We had come to Fort Walton with another condo reserved. When we arrived it was filthy and had a lot of mildew in the shower. We checked at the Island Princess and David was very helpful. He showed us a couple of units that might be available the next day. We were able to get into a very clean condo with great view at the last minute and we had a great time. Beach service was excellent and the parking garage was excellent. We have reserved the same unit for vacation this year.

Fort Walton Beach is wonderful and for the most part the weather played to excellant vacation sun and fun. The aSI amenities are a prime reason we rent through Dale Peterson Realty. The Blue Water Bay Resort golf is terrific and the availability of beach chairs and umbrellas makes packing for a long stay much more convenient. Unit #713 was clean and afforded a great view and we appreciated having 2nd queen size bed instead of bunk beds. However the unit was a little light on kitchen utensils (e.g. no lids for larger pots and pans, no hot pads or trivettes and no large plastic spoons for stirring). The unit also needs to "shed" a few of the artificial plants. The one next to the master bedroom door was in the way and served very little decorative value. The dryer unit's filter was broken but the service staff quickly replaced it on request.

We had an outstanding 38 days at Island Princess. The condo was great, the staff was very helpful and kind, and the weather could not have been any better. We have been coming to Island Princess for 10 years and have always been happy there. They take great care of the property and we love coming to the area.
We love the condo 713. The view is terrific and the condo is beautiful.
The only concern we have is that the sheets on the King bed do not fit quite properly. Also the carpet could be a bit cleaner. As usual we have already signed up for next year in the same unit, so that should tell the whole story. -

the stay was great, but there were flaws with the unit.
marks on walls, ice maker frozen solid, burners to large or inserts to small could not cook, 2 broken screen doors could not use, masterbath exhaust fan hanging down. -

The suggestions we would make on the condo is this: the carpet needs to be cleaned or replaced. And it would be nice to have a "Welcome" basket on the counter and several bottles of water in the refrigerator. After we had checked in, it was so hot, we would have appreciated a cold bottled water from the frig.

The condo is clean and beautiful. It had everything that we needed for cooking/cleaning. Also the beach experience was so easy with the inclusion of the umbrella and chairs. The staff was friendly and professional, including the security staff that we spoke with at the pool. We are looking forward to returning in the future!

We have spent at least 8 years at IP missing only the Hurricane of 05. We love coming to IP. People are helpful and pleasant. Only complaint is many spots on carpet. Would appreciate clean carpet when we arrive next year.

We really enjoyed staying at the Island Princess. The unit was clean and decorated very nice. It was very impressive
how clean the pool and the grounds around the condo were
kept. The maintenance guys were out every morning early
cleaning and mopping the pool area and we were impressed that this was a daily routine.
The only disappointment we had was on the last day when
we were checking out, we had a problem with the cleaning
lady. We had spoken the day before out departure with the
manager from Dale Peterson at the Island Princess about what time we needed to be out of the condo. He told us no
one was checking into the condo after us so 11:00 would be okay. We were almost completely out of the condo at 10:30 when the cleaning lady came to the door and told us we needed to be out of there. Then she had someone from Dale Peterson call us. Your cleaning lady really needs to learn some people skills!
Overall we had a great time, but I believe a little flexibility concerning check-in and check-out procedures could be improved. -

This is the fourth vacation we have taken at the Island Princess and we still love it. We have never had any problems and that is why we keep coming back.
We have stayed in the 1,2 and 3 bedroom condos and they are all equally beautiful. We will definitely keep coming back! -

Upon arrival on Saturday, May 30th @ 6:45 PM, there was no one in the office to greet you - just the lock box. The tv remote for the living room was missing, the backs of two tv remotes for the bedrooms were missing backs. The towels and sheets were like sand paper on your skin. This condo only furnished toilet paper and one roll of paper towels -- no trash bags and no tissues for bathrooms. The desk personnel were not very friendly. Having to go to another location to rent videos was inconvenient. The view was breathtaking and the furnishing were very "Florida" which is great. My experiences at other resorts on Okaloosa Island have been more positive.

We have stayed on Okaloosa Island before, but this was the first time at the Island Princess. This is a nice property and the condo was nicely decorated. We always enjoy our time at the beach and really appreciate the beach service that comes with the room. The only issue were that the master bedroom bed was a little too firm and one of the patio chairs on the balcony was broken when we arrived.

Overall, we had a wonderful stay and almost everything went off without a hitch. This time around the furnishings seemed a little more worn and the carpeting was stained in a number of places. We also attempted to book our unit for next year at the end of our week, but we were told that it wasn't possible because the rates were not available. When we called later to book our unit, we learned that there was more than a $300 increase for 2009. Unfotunately, we are now looking for alternative places to stay in 2009.
