St. Johns, MichiganSpring Break :)
Left on 04/12/2013 for a stay in March 2013
Our family of 4 spent our 2013 Spring Break at the Veranda ~ it was a great vacation!! Fort Walton Beach has always been a favorite area for us - the beaches are awesome, it's a very quiet area.
The condo furnishings were very nice (beds weren't super comfortable, but good enough)! We were able to buy groceries and eat most of our meals in the condo since there was a full kitchen. The washer/dryer in the room was very convenient.
We loved the view of the ocean, appreciated and used the beach service! The beach in front of the condo was never crowed - people were very friendly. We didn't use the pool - since it's not heated, it was still pretty cold.
We can wait to return! -

We had a wonderful time at the Veranda #203. The only thing we would have changed was for this unit to have internet.

Left on 09/28/2012 for a stay in September 2012
We really enjoyed our stay at the Veranda 203. Everything looked like it did in the pictures, even better! It was spacious, and nicely decorated but could use a few modern updates, but we hardly noticed because all we could see was the awesome view! The beach was beautiful and took just a couple of minutes to get to our beach chairs, which Steven(the umbrella boy, such a sweetie) had ready early enough for our morning coffee ever day! We really liked the keypad, and not having to carry a key or card with us. We had the beach and the pool to ourselves most of the time. It was the quietest and most relaxing vacation we have ever had. The only problem we had, was that we leave, but we look forward to returning again next year!

very noisy place, not enough instalation between floors. -

TexasVeranda #203: Location great, interior disappointing !!
Left on 08/01/2012 for a stay in July 2012
I will start this review with what we liked first, and then list all the negatives.
-The location is great! The stretch of beach in front of condo is private and less crowded than most areas located in front of or near larger condos/hotels.
- Received beach service (two chairs and an umbrella)
- The pool was clean and perfect temperature.
- The view from the balcony is beautiful!
- Kitchen and bathroom were clean!
- Master bed was decent (as far as being comfortable)
Now the negatives:
- The condos directly behind the Veranda is less than desirable!
-We stayed in #203 which was very outdated(furniture, TV, no internet connection etc.) and had several unacceptable issues:
-The linens/pillows stored in master closet for use on pull out bed had blood stains on them!!
- The carpet in master bedroom along the right hand side of bed had an enormous blood stain. Needless to say this was/is disgusting, creepy and unacceptable!!
- The electric stove burners were crooked and lopsided, like they didn't fit, posing a cooking hazard/ danger!!!
-The carpet in the living room was very stained and appeared dirty!
-The pull out bed in living room is a joke! The mattress is paper thin, so much so that you could feel the springs/coils. There is no way anybody would be able to sleep on it! Luckily for us, we brought a blow up mattress!
- The bunk-beds are very uncomfortable(very, firm/hard mattresses)
- The right sliding door to the balcony was virtually impossible to open.
- The balcony furniture was stained and broken (lounge chair).
-The pool- side furniture are very stained and dirty!
From what I was told by other guests staying at the Veranda, each condo/room has a different owner. Many of the other guests were very pleased with their accommodations, and after hearing some of the descriptions of their rooms, we now know which ones to stay in and which ones to avoid. Definitely would not recommend #203.

Condo was as stated and very comfortable. Beach chair service was definitely an added plus! Very close to anything you want to do. There was not any skillets to cook with in the kitchen and that would have been useful but other than that it had everything that you could need. One of the chairs on the balcony was broken and needs to be replaced.

This sweet little condo has it all. Located right on the gulf with a private pool too. The view is beautiful, the condo was very comfortable and the proximity to golf courses, restaurants and shopping was ideal. If we ever go back to FWB, this is where we will stay.

203 Veranda has much to offer. Well supplied comfortable accommodation on the ocean, a pool, close to grocery, beach chair and umbrella, who would want more if your vacation expectations are rest and relaxation.

Left on 04/20/2011 for a stay in April 2011
We have been staying @ Veranda 203 twice a yr. for several yrs. & absolutely love it.The decor is very nice & we always feel @ ome. We had some concerns this spring with other vacationers staying @ Veranda. There were 3 couples & their kids who were extremely loud, starting @ 6:00 a.m. They monopolized the pool area making it impossible for anyone else to use it. They were loud @ obnoxious & we got very little rest. I'm sure that you have no control over a situation like this. Otherwise, we were extremely satisfied & have made reservations to return in the Fall.

We arrived to a very clean and cozy condo with an excellent view. Despite, all the effort it took on the road with a five year-old and 2yr-old, we couldn't help but relax and enjoy the views. One complaint...couldn't stay forever!

-Room was clean and roomy.
-However, the kitchen was not well stocked. Knife couldn't cut. nothing could use to wash dishes.
There was only half roll of toilet tissue in the bath room for 5 of us (room is for 6). And only one small soap for bath and one tiny soap for hand. These was all the supply for 4 night 5 days stay.
-Pool was not cleaned until 4th day of stay. -

The housekeeping need to be better. Found old coffee grounds in coffee pot. Sink in kitchen needed to be cleaner-food particales left in it. Someone had to bring tolet paper and paper towles. Parking was very limited. The beach view was great. I guess the price was good.

We have been staying @ Veranda #203, twice a year for the past several years, which is testimonial in itself. The service we recieve is excellent & we find the Unit to be very comfortable & homelike. We also enjoy the area & find it very relaxing & friendly. The amentities are great & we appreciate the beach service included. There are plenty of good places to eat & shop & we have already booked the Veranda #203 for our Spring Break in april.

Aside from the unit looking a little in need of some improvements and that the pool was closed to us for one day because of a error in the amount of chlorine we had a wonderful time and have booked for next year. We love the nine unit size of the condo 203 suits us very well.

We really enjoyed staying in Veranda. Parking was super convenient. The beach was clean and nice. It was nice not having to worry about bringing a chair and umbrella. Check-in was super easy. Loved not having to carry a key around. Love the key pad. Condo was clean and cute. Very roomy. View was beautiful. Great swimming pool. We could actually vacation effortlessly. Watched the dolphins from our veranda.

Everything was fabulous. I was concerned re: how the recession would affect the property and area. The entire condo looked wonderful, with the new paint and elevator upgrade (although I missed the voice telling me what floor I was on:-) Our unit was comfy and clean. Just be sure that you direct all guests to your offices in the Island Princess-the unit info still list the office as located at the Landing.

Left on 07/23/2009 for a stay in July 2009
The Veranda was absolutely fabulous. Our bad experience came from the occupants of the SANDMAN across the street. At night they would stand and pull cars into the streets, all the while drinking and playing loud music. It was difficult to leave the property once they had "claimed" the street. The worst part, though, was these same people (mostly guys) would come to the Veranda beach walkover, which is right at the pool, and sit on it to drink and smoke. Our 14 and 15 year old daughters felt uncomfortable because of things that were said to them, so they would come in and not get to swim at night, which is one of their favorite things to do.

Left on 06/04/2009 for a stay in May 2009
Everytime someone went in or out of their unit on our floor our enire unit vibrated from the slamming of their door. Pictures rattled against the wall. This very disturbing. Also, teenagers on the site next to us had a speaker the size of a small car with loud music -- no one to complain to because no one on premises. Will go to a place with on site management next time.

This was a beautiful condo in a great location on Fort Walton Beach. This was our first time to stay in the panhandle. We enjoyed everything in this area along with just sitting on the balcony overlooking the ocean. The condo was furnished with everything you needed. I would like to say that the directions to the check location was very vague and we drove around for about 45 minutes trying to find this check in location, after calling the rental agency three times for help.
