Available for short or long term rental. The Casa Vermelha is a very charming beach house on the waterfront, 2 hours by car north-east of Fortaleza. It was recently built in a simple but very tasteful design out of burnt cement (cimento queimado) and is situated at the best location of the beach of Baleia-CE, world famous for its kite-surfing. Its spectacular panoramic ocean view gives you the feeling of being right in the water. There is no television but Wifi.

The beach house is fantastic. Everything is clean,
lots of space, very stylish. The service is
incredible. When you come from the water the
beachboy washes and stores your kite equipment and
Capis are waiting for you :-)
After long kite sessions you can chill watching the
waves, grill some steaks, do some slack lining, ...
Did I mention that the spot has always wind (take
some small kites with you). You can ride waves,
flat water, do downwinders, ... just perfect

What a great place to spend some relaxed holidays! The house (right at the beach) is a real bijoux: New and artsy, spacious and well-designed, but cosy nonetheless -- a place to immediately feel comfortable and to spend endless hours in one of the hyper-comfortable deckchairs on the huge balcony with a caipirinha in hand and overlooking the sea, waves and beautiful beach. Food is delicious, privacy and security are guaranteed. The intermediate and advanced kiters can take off right from the beach in front of the house, enjoying the reliable winds (August to December) and the lovely, at times impressive waves (full moon). Downwinders can be arranged easily and offer some breath-taking views and stoking rides. Tired after hours of kiting? Walk along the scenic beach to the quaint town or listen to the fascinating stories of the local hero: Les!

I went to this house to celebrate my birthday with my fiancee and two couples. Leslie is a neighbor who opened the house for us and showed how things worked. He is a very pleasant and thoughtful person and he can also give some kite surfing lessons, so you can take advantage of being in the best place in the world for this kind of sport.
We were pleasantly surprised by the architecture of the place, pretty open and wide in a modern rustic style with amazing ocean view. Plus the house is right in front of the sea in a quiet fisherman village, so lots of peace and quiet. Although the house has lots of open spaces, we felt we had privacy enough because of the location of the house.
We had the chance of walking around, enjoy the beach and the cozy house. There's a nice woman who spends the day there to help us with anything, she cleans and cooks very well. We bought some fresh lobster from the fisherman when they were coming back from the sea and she cooked for us a great meal. We spent three amazing days at this peaceful beach in a very comfortable and stylish house. I have to say that it was just perfect!!! -

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this well-appointed beautiful home located right on the beach with a wonderful view. The rooms are large and private. The beds are comfortable. You can travel and stay here with a large group of people and still feel like everyone has their own space. The town is very charming, the locals are friendly, warm, hospitable and open. The housekeeper is wonderful and a great cook. The sunrise is amazing! And if you are lucky to be there on a night when there is a full moon, it is spectacular. I have never seen anything like it! If you are looking for isolation, beauty, unpretentious people, purity and peace, this is the place for you. But if you are looking to be entertained by nightlife, trendy hangouts and those who want to see and be seen then you will not be happy and should go elsewhere.
The area is not without its attractions though. there are beautiful sand dunes, quaint restaurants on the beach, a waterfall and kite surfing! There is also a slightly larger town that can be accessed across the river mouth, about 10-15 minutes away that is interesting to visit.

We are especially pleased with your positive evaluation because in fact you visited Baleia during the least attractive time of the year, between March and the end of May when it often rains and the wind dies down. This is the only time of the year during which one might even wish to have air conditioning. Otherwise the climate is so breezy and the house is so well ventilated, that one sometimes has to sleep with a blanket. Nonetheless, there is a ceiling fan in every room to simulate the wind, should one need some cooling down.

We stayed at the house for 3 weeks in October of 2009. Arriving at the "Casa Vermelha" is like something out of a movie - once the gates open you can't believe that this gorgeous, spaceous, generous house is the place you're going to be staying at! The house is grand, spacious, beautifully designed and very well decorated. Right on the beach, you can look out on the sea from your bedroom - if you choose to leave the shutters open and enjoy the breeze from the water. The house has three main sitting areas,on the first floor there's a large outside area, on the main floor there's an area with sofa's aswell as an outside sitting area closer by the water or next to the barbecue. The beds are great and the bathrooms look like something out of a decorating magazine. One of the things we really appreciated is that the way the house is set up - you never feel cramped. Even if there are 13 others staying in the same place! The cook and heart of the place - Marileni is simply wonderful and very skilled.
We did nothing for about 3 weeks and enjoyed the sun, the long walks on pristine beaches and resting up in lovely surroundings.
Best: The house, the beach, the food
Least: Having to leave -

O que eu posso dizer sobre essa casa e essa praia, me faltariam adjetivos e qualidades, já que os momentos em que estive lá com minha família foram maravilhosos. A casa acomoda muito bem a todos, com quartos muito espaçosos e camas confortáveis, a paisagem e a praia é incrível. Os serviços da cozinheira e dos vigias foi perfeito, como também os vizinhos são maravilhosos, a praia é muito tranquila e calma, ótimo para a família e para esportes como kitesurf. Enfim resumindo me senti na minha própria casa e não vejo a hora de voltar lá novamente.

What I can say about this house and this beach ? For sure i would not have enough adjectives and qualities to describe it, as the moments that i had there with my family were wonderful. The house sleeps very well everybody and with very spacious rooms and comfortable beds, landscape and the beach is incredible. The services of the cook and the guards were perfect, the neighbors are wonderful too, the beach is very quiet and calm, great for the family and for sports such as kitesurfing. Anyway in short I felt in my own home and hope to go back there again soon.
