Stayed at Furst Haus in mid-January 2012 for an annual ski trip. Myself, wife and 2 kids (12 and 8) traveled to Franconia from South Carolina to meet up with family in Southern New Hampshire. We had a total of 4 adults and 4 kids. Furst Haus was perfect. It was plenty big enough to sleep all 8 of us very comfortably, and could have slept more. The house is much bigger than it looks. The finished basement had an HD TV, Xbox and plenty of games for the kids. Upstairs the fireplace was great for the adults. If skiing Canon Mountain, as we were, one of the newest lifts is across the street, but is only open depending on snow conditions. The main lodge is about 400 yards away.

Thank you for your positive review, yet we must wonder how/why the house got a "3" when the over-all experience was a 5. The Furst Haus is one of the more modern offerings within the Mittersill Village as all aspects of the home but one bathroom have been completely rebuilt-n-remodeled within the past 3 years. Hope to see you all again soon of course, and thanks again.

i almost hate to recommend Furst Faus b/c then everyone will want to stay there! great location, nice comfy chalet with lots of ski resort character.
