House located in Historic Cowee Valley near the ruby Mines. House is all on one level. Paved driveway ends at the patio, and the house is on same level of the driveway. No steps higher than the thresh of the door. Satellite TV in living room and master bedroom. Sofa, Loveseat and recliner for relaxation. Table with six chairs, but a bench for 2 or 3 can be added. Fully equipped kitchen. cups, plates, bowls, glasses, silverware, cookware, coffee pot, crock pot for meals ready when you return from a hard day at the mines. About 6 miles north of Franklin on US 28 North going toward Bryson City, turn right on Cowee Creek Rd. just past Cowee Church. In beautiful Cowee Valley, you take the right fork onto Ruby Mine road.. About 1/2 mile past Cherokee Ruby Mine, you will see an old Gregory Ruby Mine sign on the left and a dead in street sign on the right. The house is the next house on the left. The best feature of the house is the level area of the paved driveway, patio, porch with the drive joining the paved road. Excellent for touring motorcycles. The driveway will accommodate 4 vehicles. This is a great place to relax after a day of mining or sight seeing the numerous water falls and overlooks. You can even go 2/10th of a mile past the house and see an old grist mill with a 20 foot water wheel.
