Nyack, New YorkLiving remote in pure luxury
Left on 02/28/2013 for a stay in February 2013
Fraser Island is about the most beautiful place we visited in australia. The beaches are magnificent and the forests and lakes amazing. The Eliza Fraser Lodge is unique on Fraser in its luxury and service. While there are other accommodation options (camping, motels, house rentals) the Lodge is an exclusive and boutique experience. The rooms are spacious, private and well appointed. The living, dining and deck areas are huge and all with great views. Nick is a great host: attentive but not intrusive, and knows the island and got us right into the "Fraser experience". The food was terrific (almost too much) and while remote (all solar, off the grid) we had all the comforts and conveniences we could have asked for (internet, TV, Dvds,etc.). It was great value for what it costs and we will definitely go back if we can. The only bad thing we have to say is that we had to leave.

BrisbaneA wonderful experience on a wonder filled island.
Left on 02/28/2013 for a stay in February 2013
I recently had the joy of spending four days on Fraser Island as a guest at Eliza Fraser Lodge. The lodge and its host Nick, provided a luxurious environment for us to experience the wilds of Fraser. The adventure began with Nick driving us the 105kms on the beach from the ferry to the lodge. Nick's knowledge of the island and his anecdotes are not to be missed. As can be seen from the website, this house is truly beautiful. The accommodation and meals are truly first rate.

The Lodge was beautifully located on top of a hill to capture the ocean breeze.
The room was well appointed complete with en suite.
The food were outstanding home cooked meals with a special "make your own pizza" on the last night.
Would recommend the Lodge to fisherman or guests who are looking to explore this natural wonder. -

Hong KongThe Perfect New Year - We'll be back!
Left on 01/07/2013 for a stay in December 2012
My son and I spent the New Year at the Eliza Fraser Lodge and I can't imagine a better way to usher in a New Year.
The house is big, immaculate, well appointed and breezy, pure relaxation. Coming from Hong Kong, I could immediately feel the stress drain away. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were all taken on the large open terrace overlooking the forest and beach, we couldn't ask for more. Hat's off to Nick for his culinary feats. Fresh fish, steak, and even pizza on the BBQ were all pure pleasure.
My son is 14 and we both loved the beach, bush walks, fishing and even worming. Not a lot of that in Hong Kong. Nick was the perfect host. Thanks again, we'll be back. -

australiaAmazing Holiday! The best place to stay on Fraser!
Left on 01/03/2013 for a stay in December 2012
We'd been to Fraser Island many many times over the years, but this time was easily the best experience yet - I just have to say that Eliza Fraser Lodge was fantastic!
The rooms were very spacious & clean, with comfortable beds and pillows (loved the bamboo sheets). We slept well and were treated to a delicious breakfast of poached eggs and crispy bacon cooked by the host. He was a great guy and very friendly - he took us fishing (and supplied all the gear) and we caught a whole pile of whiting, which he kindly filleted, battered and served to us tempura-style for dinner - Yum!!
The Lodge was situated on the hill above Orchard Beach - with beautiful views out to ocean and a great cool breeze just perfect for the summer heat. A must see - We couldn't recommend it more highly! -

CasuarinaThe most amazing holiday
Left on 12/16/2012 for a stay in December 2012
The Fraser lodge is the most amazing thing. I loved the house because it was nice and big and it had that faster look to it. It is close to the local shop and orchid beach. Nick was a great guide to all these new places I have never heard before. The fishing and 4WD was great fun even though we got bogged on the way there.

AthertonAn extraordinary experience
Left on 11/05/2012 for a stay in April 2012
Eliza Fraser Lodge provides an extraordinary vistor experience. Not only is it beautiful accomodation in an unparalled location but there is also a host, Nick, who appears to relish pandering to his guests every need. Nothing is too much for Nick as he introduces guests to a wilderness with which he is intimately acquainted. I cannot recommend this wilderness experience highly enough.

It is a pleasure to pen this review. Eliza Fraser Lodge is exceptional and visitors to the Island really need to know you are there. You have built an amazing lodge and of course Orchid Beach is quite unique. To relax in a completely separate world is not something people get to do often. Your lodge offers total privacy and very possible convenience. It was easy to forget I was in a wilderness setting. Your website is perfectly up to date and is an honest representation of the lodge. I'll be back, guaranteed! Thank you once again Nick.

Queenstown ,New ZealandThe perfect painting retreat
Left on 10/03/2012 for a stay in September 2012
I stayed at the Eliza Fraser Lodge for a week. To be honest I wish I could have stayed for two! The food was superb, freshly baked bread welcomed me with a chorus of native birds every morning. The lodge has a really relaxed feel, its very roomy and perched on the hillside, above Orchid Bay, with a billowing view over the gum trees out to sea. One could see many whales which was exciting... I highly recommend this place as a retreat to kick back and fish, read, (for me a great place to paint from) and relax in.
