Fredericksburg is quickly becoming known for its abundance of prestigious art galleries. Agave Cottage is found just behind one these popular galleries named Agave Gallery. The on-premise artist is John Bennett and includes original paintings and sculptures by award-winning Texas artists.
This precious little cottage feels like it was created from a fairy tale. The cottage sits behind a garden of flowers and vegetables creating a wonderful, quiet star. A perfect hideaway for couples looking to get away from the big city for a few days. This little cottage is small, but cozy. Recently updated bathroom has ample storage and is a nice addition to the old shed. The bedroom has a very comfortable bed and the high vaulted ceiling that makes the space feel airy. The interior is tastefully decorated (FB can often be way too country, for my tastes) with local art, but the true gem of this property is the exterior gardens. We were lucky enough to have bluebonnets everywhere and tulips opened up the second morning. We will be back next spring!

I enjoyed this quaint little cottage. The Bennett's who are the owners were warm and friendly and provided me with all I needed to make my stay very comfortable and a home away from home. It is close to Main street and the hub of shopping as well as some great restaurants I was glad not to have to drive any where! I would definitely go back.
