Description from the manager
Located just three and one-half blocks from shopping and restaurants, this cozy log cabin offers a comfy, quiet and enjoyable stay. The log cabin dates back to 1870 and was moved to this spot from Missouri and embellishes the phrase of “story book charm”. The bedroom was added on and built from native rock creating a true Texas pioneer home. Enjoy the swing on the front porch to unwind and relax.
Downstairs is the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. A queen bed in the bedroom topped with a floral comforter and fluffy pillows offers both comfort and luxury. The bedroom has an armoire and television. The kitchen has a two-burner st...Read more

My husband and I stayed in this cute little cabin in downtown Fredericksburg after a week long camping trip. The cabin had all of the creature comforts that we now could appreciate after roughing it for a week, while maintaining a rustic character that made it feel as though we still could be out in the middle of nowhere enjoying a welcome retreat. I definitely recommend it. Very cute, quaint, comfortable, and unique!

We had a wonderful time at CayCay's Cabin. It was within walking distance to the main strip of town and nestled in a cute neighborhood. We came at the peak of wildflower season and the weather was perfect. The front and backyard were blooming and the porch swing on the front porch was just perfect for my coffee in the morning and a glass of wine with my sweetie in the evening. Our dogs couldnt have been happier to be able to accompany us on our vacation thanks to CayCay's. They had a yard to run in and plenty of room to play with a comfortable place to stay while we were out and about. We absolutely loved it and can't wait to come back.

Tahlequah, OKGreat place but needs insulating

The Cay Cay Cabin was spacious, very cute and in a great location. The owner was very nice and she left us great snacks and a delicious German pantry. The only downside was that it was 100 degrees that weekend and the cabin air conditioner couldn't keep up with the cooling demand. When I asked the owner if it was working, she apologized and said that it was working, but when the temperatures were that high, the cabin couldn't cool until the sun went down. We spent a miserable night sweating as the temperature was horrible inside, about 85+ degrees. I would not recommend this cabin to anyone in the summer time unless they insulate it first.

Nice Cabin with location in town. The host is next door if you have any problems. The upstairs loft would be good for those with children.

HoustonReally nice, but . . .

Nice, cozy (for a couple, only) with a location convenient location to downtown. However, Cay Cay's is so cozy that the spare bath towels are rolled up and stuffed into a tub (okay, so far) that is kept next to the commode. Not very sanitary, especially considering that you don't know who was there before you.

Staying at the cabin was a wonderful "time-warp" experience. When I drove up, I half-way expected to see abe Lincoln chopping logs in front.
The cabin is historically themed, yet equipped with all of the modern amenities necessary to make it a very comfortable, charming place to stay. It is also very conveniently located to downtown Fredericksburg (five minute walk), which makes it a great "base of operations" for a visit to the area.
Will I stay there again? Most definitely. -

The cabin is very quaint and has a lot of personality. Unfortunately we couldn't sleep there because we found rat dropping on the bed and in the kitchen. I was so unconformable that we left and found a hotel nearby.

Loved this little cabin - perfect for a weekend getaway. The only downside was we went in July - The cabin is not insulated so it got reallly hot even with the a/C turned down. The breakfast pastries that were left for us in the mornings were a nice touch and very delicious.
