Cain City was founded as one of the stops along the Fredericksburg and Great Northern Railway. It was a thriving town and until just a few years ago part of the old bank was still standing just a short distance from Hill Cottage.
Located only a few miles from Fredericksburg this delightful quaint, little cottage boasts phenomenal views. The yard is inviting to both guests and a wonderful array of birds. A tree house at Hill Cottage is ideal for watching our feathered friends, rabbits, deer, and all the other nature so abundant to the area.

We were looking for a two bedroom B&B; so we could visit Fredericksburg and have time to visit with cousins in a comfortable and cozy common room. We found exactly what we were looking for in Hill Cottage. It has a full kitchen, one bath and two very comfortable bedrooms. I slept very well that night. The dining table and living room gave us plenty of room to sit and talk. The view is beautiful. I wish we had had more time to stay. We did
have difficulty finding it though. So, be aware, you should find it during the daytime. -

We stayed here for a Mother's Day retreat. Nice quite neighborhood. House we decorated nicely and the old bathtub was neat. All in all a nice place to relax and get away from it all but still close enough to be involved with society if you want to! Would recommend to anyone who wanted to stay in a quite bed and breakfast style house.

Wonderful time in the hill country. We shared the cottage with another couple (friends) and had a great time and relaxing vacation. The cottage was exactly as described.

My girlfriends and I try to make a trip to Fredericksburg at least once a year. We usually stay at Blue Cottage, but it was unavailable this trip so we booked Hill Cottage. We had an amazing time! It was so relaxing and quiet and very close to the wineries we frequent. It was hands down one of our favorite trips. Two of us in our group are pregnant right now, but we're going to try to make a trip out there at the end of the year. Thanks!

We have stayed at Hill Cottage numerous times and always enjoy it. We like it being away from Frederiksburg yet still close enough when you want to do the tourist thing. Also really like that it is so close to Luckenbach, Texas. A classic place so close by only adds to the Hill Cottage's charm. Well stocked and always very clean. We would recommend this place to anyone looking for a country cottage with all the things needed for a great Hill Country stay.
