We went to Fredricksburg for a girls weekend and had a wonderful time. Inspiration Hill was absolutely wonderful. It had everything we needed. We are planning to go back in January!!!

We loved our stay. The house was awesome and very homey. The outdoor shower was a hit. The kitchen had all the amenities and plenty of dishes. The one complaint - there was no coffee. This was quite disappointing on the first morning when a good cup of coffee would have been great on the porch. Also no dishwasher soap.

This house was perfect for our girlfriend's weekend retreat. Each of the five of us had our own bed, and the 2 1/2 baths (plus outdoor shower) offered convenience.
The kitchen had everything we needed for food prep. We enjoyed fixing a few meals on our own, and gathering around the large table together.
Some of our favorite times included early morning coffee and evening drinks on the screened porch. The view is lovely, especially at those times of day. We also appreciated the cat food made available to us for feeding the two cats that came by to visit in the morning.
The house was comfortable, well provided, immaculate, and nicely decorated, making it a real haven for relaxation and good times. We would love to come back again. -

We have been coming to this house for years and love everything about it. It sits in a great location overlooking the hills. It is modern, spacious and comfortable. I have never needed anything while staying there as the house is fully equipped. The property is very well maintained and you'll even meet some new friends while you're there. The wildlife is spectacular including hummingbirds and deer. There isn't enough I can say about this house, so go stay there and see for yourself. I wouldn't stay anywhere else when visiting Fredericksburg!

It's been a little over two years since we last stayed at Insp Hill. It was during a really bad stent of weather and TV down stairs didn't work so we were constantly having to go up stairs to get weather news. Other than that it was wonderful.
Would be nice if a TV could be put in living area so you wouldn't have to sit on the bed to watch during the day. We've told several of our friends about it and have considered staying again in the future. -

My husband and I celebrated our 21st anniversary at Inspiration Hill. The secluded location was so private and lovely, yet so close to several wineries and downtown Fredericksburg. The time of year of our visit made the outdoor patio and fireplace a very welcome ammenity for both enjoying a cup of coffee on a chilly morning, or a glass of wine in the chilly evening. The kitchen was beautifully stocked and we ate in more than dined out. Finally, the outdoor shower, when enjoyed under the stars, is a definite "must see for yourself!) :)

We rented this for my 50th Birthday and it was very private, totally awesome place. I absolutely love to cook and the kitchen was extremely nice. Loved the out door shower we had a full moon, can't say enough good things and will rent again.

This is our absolutely favorite place to stay in Fredericksburg! The owners or this home have thought of everything to make your stay fabulous. The kitchen is a chef's dream; beds and linens wonderful; and standing in the outdoor shower looking out over the view is inspiring! I would recommend Inspiration Hill to anyone looking for a peaceful oasis to relax.

Minutes away from downtown Fredericksburg. Great getaway. High on the hillside with great views. House is in great condition with all amenities. All rooms were very nice. Love the outside shower. Plenty of space for everyone. Love in closed-in screen patio with fire place. Great place overall. I would recommend this place. It lives up to its name.

Several friends and I stayed at Gastehaus Schmidt in april 2011 for a girlfriend's bachelorette weekend. The house couldn't have been more perfect. We loved the modern design and open layout with plenty of room for everyone. It had all the conveniences we needed with a real "retreat" feel only a few minutes drive from downtown. I would absolutely stay here again next time I have the opportunity!
