I have stayed here with my good friend for a few years. Debbie, the owner is very acommedating. we have asked for yougert and fruit instead of pastries and she was happy to do that. Her property is very clean,in excellent repair, and very well decorated to reflect the name. We have loved staying there and will continue to do so.

In October we had a great stay at "la Vie Est belle" in Fredericksburg. We booked through "Gästehaus Schmidt", which worked excellent and the landlady herself made us feel like being at home. The house itself is very affectionately furnished and fully equipped. Fredericksburg and the surroundings is always worth a visit. In total it has been a great stopover during our visit in Texas.

My sister & I took a weekend trip to Fredericksburg for a girls get away. We stayed at La Vie Est Belle which was a small, but nice house with Country Danish decor. The color scheme was relaxing & inviting. The beds were very comfortable, and the breakfast snacks yummy.The location was several blocks from the main street & we had to drive to get to the shops. It rained during our stay so we were unable to enjoy the garden & sitting area. It served our purpose which was to spend some girl time together, shop, and attend the crawfish festival.

Have stayed at many B&B;'s in Fredericksburg and this was not one of my favorites. Breakfast was a couple of rolls under a glass cake lid and some fruit. Milk ruined and had to ask owner for fresh. She seemed almost bothered by the request. She did mention a funeral so hopefully it was just an "off" weekend, but don't expect a hot breakfast here.

We're sorry to hear you were disappointed. The owner is horrified that you felt you didn't get her full attention, and is very sorry. You are correct, La Vie Est Belle does not do full breakfasts, just continental breakfasts--sometimes homemade pastries, sometimes from one of the local bakeries. We're sorry we didn't communicate that more clearly to you.

Our only issue was with the beds. The mattreses were not very comfortable at all.
The place was charming and clean; close to the places we were going. We had a great time.
