This perfect little Victorian home built in the early 1900’s is located just one block from Main Street in the Historic District. A wonderful ornate picket fence accents the front yard and leads to a porch framed with gingerbread accents. Enchanting flower gardens surround the porch and gate entrance.

Entering this lovely home guests will marvel at the designer style kitchen. The kitchen includes a red and white porcelain table for four, an early 1900’s stove (not operable) is proudly displayed for nostalgia, an antique refrigerator is still being used and the old sink draped with gingham blue. Blue and white are the predomi...nant colors on the walls and the decorator accents throughout this charming home lending a country fresh look. An antique cupboard displays old tins and kitchen collectibles.

The living room is elegantly furnished in antiques including an old armchair and matching settee, which are placed to comfortably view the TV/VHS. The many quality antiques are the highlight of this special room including the old English cabinet with an array of unique collectibles.

Elegant French doors open into the romantic master bedroom. Stunning use of fabric and wallpaper tastefully cover the walls. The queen bed is topped with a white Victorian embroidered linen duvet and pillows. Curtains to create a soft romantic look silhouette the bed. An armoire is not only beautiful but also functional. A dressing table is covered with floral fabric and wicker pieces are used as practical accents.

A second bedroom has two antique single beds each topped with quilts. The bath, located between the two bedrooms, has an antique clawfoot slipper tub accented with brass fixtures.

  Dies ist ein altes, in viktorianischem Stil erbautes Haus in ruhiger Lage, das in Fredericksburg, Texas, als B & B vermietet wird. Es liegt nur wenige Gehminuten vom Ortskern entfernt. Ein weißer Lattenzaun rundherum, eine weiße Veranda, die Küche in blau-weiß gehalten, der Wohn- und Schlafbereich mit alten Möbeln, Bildern und Ziergegenständen ausgestattet. Die Betten sind sehr hoch. Im Bad steht eine alte Badewanne mit vergoldeten Füßen. Die beiden Schlafzimmer und das Bad sind mit geblümten Rosentapeten ausgestattet. Man fühlt sich zeitlich weit zurück versetzt. Es macht alles einen sehr romantischen Eindruck. - Der Garten war sehr gepflegt mit vielen blühenden Blumen.
  
  Kaffee und Tee, Wasser und Orangensaft stehen in unbegrenztem ausmaß zur Verfügung, um die restliche Verpflegung kümmert man sich selbst.
  
  Fredericksburg ist eine alte, von deutschen Siedlern gegründete, Stadt in Texas. Es gibt etliche Lokale mit deutschem Ursprung, wo u.a. auch deutsches Bier, Sauerkraut, Apfelstrudel etc. angeboten wird. Die Preise sind sowohl für Unterkunft als auch für Verpflegung in der Ortsmitte durchaus akzeptabel. – Es gibt auch ein Geschäft der amish-People, wo Lebensmittel, Möbel, Bekleidung aus eigener Erzeugung angeboten werden.
  
  Eine der charmantesten Erfahrungen, die wir auf diesem Sektor je gemacht haben.

  Romantic weekend heaven

  Loved this cottage and everything about it. A truly beautifully decorated cottage that takes you back in time to when life was simpler and slower. Please don't change a thing. Shopping all day, and a long slow soak in the clawfoot bathtub to relax at the end of the day. This cottage is not for the techno geek, or the wanna stay plugged into the 'info highway'. It is for the 'get away from it all' kind of weekend. Only issue is the Refrigerator, while staying with the timeframe of the house is not going to make ice, or keep your drinks ice cold. But it does fit into the overall scheme of the house and style. So I say, keep the fridge and bring along a cooler with some ice.
