Nature lovers, walkers, cyclists and motorcycle riders.....we have the property for you. Your host is a fourth generation Texas and has a definite idea of what Texas is all about, and is anxious to share this love of Texas through his cabin. Located just across the street from the well known and popular Alamo Springs General Store and Cafe the cabin is beautiful, private, but they are comfortable too. Set up for a romantic or just a casual weekend driving through the countryside. Let us introduce you to Alamo Springs Country Cabins.
The Country Cabin and The Barn have a long front porch decked with comfy rockers to enjoy a view of woods... and wildlife. Inside the one room cabin you will find a king bed topped with luxury linens and fluffy decorative pillows. The bed is facing the open living room along with the leather sofa (also a full size bed) and both are placed to enjoy the television with Blu-Ray and fireplace. A fully equipped kitchen has a range/oven, large refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker and toaster along with the table which can easily seat 3 - 4 people. Guests favorite part of the cabin probably will be the bathroom with it's large corner whirlpool tub so important for those special weekends. It also has a separate shower. Ever taken a shower or washed your hair in rainwater? These cabins are supplied with pure, sparkling, clean and refreshing rainwater - and it tastes so good, you'll want to take some home.
Just outside the cabin is a parking pad for motorcycles and one for cars. My husband and I came to Frederibksburg for our anniversary and stayed at the Barn, and it was amazing. The setting is beautiful, serene, and secluded. The cottage was very country chic and we absolutely loved it. The drive into Fredericksburg was not bad, and worth the seclusion. Over all it was a wonderful way for us to celebrate 12 wonderful years of marriage!

Our stay in this beautiful cottage was absolutely perfect. We travelled to Fredericksburg to celebrate our anniversary and didn't really want to stay in a hotel in town. I did a simple internet search to find an alternative. Of all the places available, Alamo Springs was nicest we found.
Upon arriving, we found the cottage completely ready. There were dishes in the cabinets, fluffy towels in the bath and food in the frig. The furnishings were inviting and the bed...the bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept in.
While the drive out to the cottage from Fredericksburg takes 15 to 20 minutes, the drive is full of beautiful Hill Country scenery. One evening upon returning we saw herds of deer, not one or two but herds! The next morning we had hummingbirds buzzing around the feeder on the porch.
All in all, our stay was wonderful and we look forward to returning to alamo Springs again and again.

loved the fact it used rainwater; comfortable and cozy; standard amenities-not luxury;
least-thick gravel; hard to traverse on a motorcycle
The stay in The Barn was wonderful

The stay was really nice, we went wine tasting during the day. One evening we went to the bar and grill across the street the next night we stayed in enjoyed some music then got in the jacuzzi - the stay was for my boyfriend on birthday. He loved the surprise !! He want to go back again this year.

My only complaint was the wifi did not work properly. Upon checking was told the wifi doesn't work with ios devices. But regardless, I'd stay again!

My husband and I celebratee our 15th anniversary the first weekend in March. Had some problems getting into the place but was walked thru the alternative plan by great staff. W had a great time. Loved the romantic setting! Only downside was the Cafe was closed :( for vacation. Had heard lots of great things about the food so we will just have to come back again. Would also like to come back when the bats are flying in. Very interesting walking along the trail reading the history of the bat tunnel. We took a day trip to Lukenbach and enjoyed the Rockbox Theater in town for the Grand Finale to our weekend. Thanks for a great weekend! Btw I surprised him with this weekend!
