Moonrise Retreat is a beautiful cabin that looks out over Palo Alto Creek Valley. It is located on a small farm that is home to chickens, three horses, two cats, two dogs, five goats, one donkey and a few cattle. The road has no through-traffic so it is quiet and peaceful. (inspirational for early morning or evening walks) The cabin can house 6-7 people with it's two king-size beds, one queen foldout couch and one regular couch.

Moonrise retreat is located two miles from Fredericksburg on a beautiful country road that has no through traffic. It has the peacefulness of the country side but only 5 minutes from town.
Fredericksburg is an historical German town that has captured the heritage of the settlers in its architecture, art, festivals and hospitality! Wonderful shopping, first-class restaurants, museums, art-galleries, state natural areas, national parks and great biking roads gives all visitors something to to enjoy while staying at this lovely retreat that will help you put away your stress for a while.
Our retreat offers comfort and relaxation in our beautifully appointed rooms with luxurious king size beds, whirlpool tubs, fluffy towels and comfortable linens.
Moonrise Retreat is located on a beautiful country road with limitless views of the Palo Alto Creek valley from it's upstairs or downstairs balconies.

This hill country cabin was perfect! The facility was clean, neat and very close to the local attractions. Laurie was very helpful, kind and courteous! We highly recommend this cabin for a most enjoyable stay in Fredericksburg!

The location was just outside of town and very nice. Felt safe and comfortable. We have two daughters 8 & 9 along with two small dogs that also enjoyed the stay.

Enjoyed the wonderful , quiet neighborhood. Cabin was very homey with wonderful neighbors. We enjoyed the horses, cows, chickens. Short drive to town, but far enough away to be in the country.Kitchen was well stocked, and the furnishings were very comfortable. Our brother in law and sister in law enjoyed it so much, they went back two weeks later.

What a peaceful, beautiful and well-appointed vacation home! Incredibly comfortable -- terrific beds, and a great Jacuzzi tub! Our family had such fun star-gazing from the upstairs balcony, walking along the country road to see cows, horses, chickens and wildflowers, and all just a couple of minutes from town. The perfect place for a family or romantic getaway! I only wish we could have stayed longer.

What a fun place to stay..not only is it a wonderful home with 2 bedrooms and wonderful baths and a great kitchen, but food is provided that you can fix yourself at your own convenience. There are 2 wonderful porches to sit out on and enjoy your coffee and watch the sunrise. The added bonus is the wondeful countryside with the animals..cows, chickens, dogs and goats.
