Welcome to old Fredericksburg charm. Located just a couple of blocks from Main Street this comfortable home was constructed in stages the first of which was completed in the 1930’s. The entrance was the first to be constructed and makes up the two bedrooms. The living room and kitchen area followed many years later. Chairs are found on the front porch to welcome a relaxing stay during your visit to Fredericksburg. Plus the owners cat occasionally stays on his favorite spot on the front porch—his name is Tino and he is not allowed in the house please.
Enter into the attractive foyer—there is a door to the right, which i...s locked and unavailable to guests. There is also an old time ladder going up to the attic—which is also not for guest’s use. The house has high ceilings throughout along with hardwood and tile flooring. Two bedrooms are found on the east side of the house both with king beds and both have adjacent bathrooms with tub/shower. A third bedroom has two twin beds. Each bedroom has cable television. The beds have quality mattresses and linens plus very attractive bed coverings. Any bedrooms not used will be locked.
The living room is both elegant and comfortable. A sofa and chairs are all placed to enjoy the wood fireplace and the cable television in the armoire. One wall is lined with book shelves, and you just might find something fun to read during your stay. In the same room is an antique harvest table with handsome wicker chairs. The fully equipped kitchen offers most everything you need while staying at the Schubert Street House. There is even a washer/dryer for those longer stays.
Your hostess is an artist, and you will definitely see all of the special touches she creates in the décor. Each room is fun with touches of elegance invoked into the decorating. There is a seating area outside to enjoy the many brisk mornings and cool evenings that Fredericksburg enjoys.
