You will be collected from the airport by our delightful manager, Heather, who will answer any of your questions. She will take you to the grocery store, advise you on the best restaurants and places to visit, and drive you to the house. Or if you prefer, organise a rental car. Casa Lenca is part of the Palmetto Bay gated, secure community - there is a circular driveway, a covered carport and 3 acre private garden with mangos, paw paws, cashews trees, surrounded by palm trees with views to the sea and reef. It is secluded and private but not isolated. You can hear the sea as it rolls over the reef and listen to the birds, watch the humming birds and wood peckers from the deck or walk to the beach (or take the golf buggy) and swim in the sea or the beach side pool. Hang out in the restaurant where Eric will make you the best Margarita or Monkey Lala on the island! You can kayak across the bay, go diving or snorkling on some of the best parts of the reef or go fishing for barracuda or snapper right from the dock. You can learn to dive or take a refresher course from the 5 star dive shop Barefoot Cay Divers, who is located on the Palmetto Bay property. Take a 5 min water taxi to the Pristine Bay Golf club or just read a book on one of the many sun beds at the beach and watch everyone else play Volley ball.

Rental fees
- Additional guests - $125 / person - Per-Person Adjustment - Fee applies to parties of more than 8 guest(s)
- Damage deposit - $350 / stay - Security Deposit - This deposit is used for any breakages that may may occur. However, if you break or ruin any particular item ie a microwave, coffee machine etc your will need to pay the full cost of a replacement. There is an additional deposit of $500 for Golf Buggy should you decide to rent it.
- Golf Buggy - $150 / stay - Other - The Golf Buggy can be rented at any time during your stay and you can discuss this with our manager
- Jacuzzi - $100 / stay - Other - If there are more than 8 people staying in the house there is an additional charge of $100 per week for the extra electricity used for the jacuzzi
Additional notes from owner
We charge a flat rate inclusive of all taxes and cleaning costs. If you require additional cleaning days the rate is $10-00 per hour.
If you wish to use the Golf Buggy there is an additional security deposit of $500.00, plus the weekly rental rate of $150.
For any additional Guest over 8 people we charge an extra $125 per person per week.

This home was European luxury in the deep tropics. Our family was coming from many directions for a restful week retreat to celebrate a very special birthday. This required several trips to the ferry docks/airport. The staff was helpful in getting us to our new home, settled in, and provided a local cel phone for queries/maintenance issues which were promptly addressed. The house golf cart was a must for grandmum to enjoy the beach down the hill (a good hike up/down/all around). The teenage cousins enjoyed walking down the paths and discovering the beaches and reefs. They baked brownies and cupcakes, tea for all- this kitchen was well equipped.
March was the perfect time to visit, not too hot or rainy. Everyone enjoyed the exterior shower rooms reminiscent of Hawaiian bungalows, very fun (especially during rainy nights). The house is decorated in white fabrics/details which gave it a romantic feel, the lighting was dim inviting you to calm down to the island pace. The roosters will greet you early in the morning.
Pbay is remote and north- off a winding dirt road. We did not feel the need to leave the resort much- our group of 12 took a mini-bus twice for snorkeling in west bay and visit downtown. No need to drive here. Our days were full of fun and nights watching movies; the house had a very good movie library. The wireless internet access made kids happy and the large kitchen made cooking a breeze.
The favorite bed was a wrought iron single located in a breezeway, a perfect spot for naps surrounded by fresh sea breezes and palm whistles. Our best night was spent grilling lobsters outside- thanks to the house grill that the staff graciously provided. It was fine travel with attention to detail, we felt pampered while enjoying the simplicity of island living. Go and see for yourself!

I loved it, it was the old Carribbean. Unspoilt, fun, with lots to do.The local food is delicious, especially the lobsters! Wonderful snorkling,bone fishing,and sea fishing. The island is full of character with beautiful empty beaches and turquoise seas.
The house is spacious,and very comfortable, with wonderful staff. It is a short walk to the beach and Palmetto Club house where there is a good restaurant, dive shop and bar. I can't wait to go back! Car hire is essential. -

A wonderful rambling house set in secure privacy in the jungle yet just a 3 minute walk to a beautiful unspoilt beach with a restaurant with delicious food and yummy cocktails and a pool, all amongst the coconut palms on a white sandy beach. The house was beautifully decorated and all the guests rooms, with ensuite bathrooms, were far enough apart to ensure complete privacy. A huge deck overlooking a lovely tropical garden with distant views of the sea flowed off a huge living room. A massage on arrival was so relaxing after a long flight from New York and we managed to find wonderful restaurants each day all over the island, where we had delicious and cheap lunches, think rum punch and lobster!
We adored the whole experience and cannot wait to return to Casa Lenca again. -

We arrived here feeling rather weary after a long journey and could hardly believe our luck. The house sits high up amongst palm trees, and has spectacular views of the bay and reef from all the rooms and terraces. As well as being very comfortable, it is beautifully decorated with enormous attention to detail. Very often, when we didn't feel like venturing out, we just stayed at the house reading, relaxing or wandering round the garden, and it was noticeably cooler than being at sea level. It is only a five minute walk through luscious gardens, to get down to the beach and Palmetto Bay, where there is a lively bar and excellent restaurant. It is within easy reach of many interesting places to visit, local villages with colourful markets, and lots of good fish restaurants. For those who like more activity there is fishing, diving and snorkelling. I would recommend this house to anyone, and we very much hope to return one day.
