Imagine coming home to this beautiful, Northwest style, lakeside estate located on two wooded acres, with its own private lake. This house was completely remodeled and is virtually brand new. The lower level has exotic hardwood floors throughout the living room, dining room, den and kitchen. The house was constructed in an environmentally friendly way.

It has a gourmet kitchen, completely furnished including a gas range for the cooking enthusiast. The kitchen island includes a breakfast bar seating. This property has granite counter tops, stainless appliances, cherry cabinets, an open floor plan and is perfect for entertaining and enjoy...ing the company of friends and family.

Enjoy the warm ambience of the propane fireplace while peering out to the lakeside featuring abundant wildlife.

This property is located on Fishhook Lake, which is part of the "three lakes" area. The adjacent lakes boast the 4-Star "Lakedale Resort". Fishhook Lake is completely private and you will be the only people on the lake.

The sea water around the San Juan Islands is too cold for swimming, but in the summer the lake warms quickly, making swimming very popular. This property is centrally located, midway between the quaint town of Friday Harbor and beautiful Roche Harbor Resort.

The lower level den has great lake views and is furnished with a flat-screen television and futon couch. Stay connected with DirectTV satellite television service, unlimited long distance, and wireless internet access (WI-FI). The lower level has a full tiled bathroom.

The upstairs offers two private suites. The spacious master suite is furnished with a king-size pillow-top bed and offers enchanting lake views, a large flat-screen television, private lanai with deck furniture overlooking the lake, and adjoining tile master bathroom with dual vanities and a large soaking tub. The second upstairs suite is furnished with a queen-size bed, lake views, and adjoining tile bathroom with shower. The private lanai is perfect for viewing birds and wildlife with your morning coffee.

The property is situated on two acres wooded with Douglas Fir and Madrona, and the lake house is quiet and private. Have fun swimming, rafting, or fishing off of the private dock, or sit out at the picnic tables and BBQ in the yard, enjoying the outdoors. The lake is stocked with Rainbow Trout, Cutthroat, and Widemouth Bass. Enjoy wildlife including otters, black-tailed deer, silver fox, ducks, blue herons, trumpeter swans, bald eagles, falcons, ospreys, hawks, and other wildlife.

This beautiful estate is ideal for that "romantic getaway" or a "family retreat" where your family can enjoy swimming, rafting, bird watching and biking.   The recently renovated house is beautiful. The views from the many window are breathtaking but, as there are no window coverings, you can see from one bedroom window into the other bedroom window. We were two couples and in the morning we could wave to each other from our beds and we had to dress in the bathroom with the lights off. Eventually we figured out a way to stack some pillows into the windows to provide minimal privacy. The 3 bathrooms were nice but again, no window coverings??? The guest bedroom had a bed and a small table with a lamp and no other furnishings which makes it difficult to unpack and I felt bad for our guests. Its a shame, because the house is lovely and the location is beautiful. We saw deer almost every day, enjoyed the canoe on the small lake and spent every afternoon out on the veranda. We spoke to the property managers and they said that they were aware of the lack of window coverings, but that the owner liked it that way. I would stay here again if the owner covered the upstairs windows and the bathroom windows, if not, I would look for another house.

  My husband, adult daughter and I rented the Fish Hook Lake House for a three-night stay on San Juan Island. It was a great base for our explorations of the island. Having the canoe available just increased our pleasure. We did one morning ride where the goal (successful) was to photograph the water lilies. The quality of light in the house, especially on the 2nd floor, was fabulous. The only thing we regretted was that there were no screens in the TV room.

  The location was fantastic. Not too far from the stores, private and a beautiful lake. The home is beautiful, very comfy beds and the kitchen well stocked.
  Only huge challenge is there are no drapes! Very creepy at night. The house needs pictures - not one so far and nick nacks to make it a home from home.
