Very nice spacious home. Nice beach access steps away in the cul-de-sac. Pool was great as well. We had it heated and it felt great even in January! Nice location. Always love staying on Fripp. Will come again.

Marine Mom
Tell City, INThis is one of the most relaxing vacations I have ever taken.
Left on 09/20/2012 for a stay in September 2012
We are a Marine family and stayed in the area for our newest Marine's boot camp graduation. This was my first time going with a rental home. If everyone makes it as easy as Seaside Getaways, this is the route I'm taking from now on. They explained everything in such great detail and were so helpful. The photos of the house online didn't do it justice. It was much larger than we expected and the ocean views were much better in person. The views overlooking the golf course were just amazing. We were afraid with a group of 14 people we would feel cramped, but there was more than enough space for everyone to spread out and get some alone time. The only part of the house in which we felt the least bit crowded was the kitchen. The main reason we chose this house was for the private pool. We were so pleased with how clean and well maintained it was. I didn't give the screened in porch much thought when booking it, but it turned out to be our "living room." It was where everyone gathered all day everyday to watch the kids in the pool or look out over the golf course and watch the deer. It is absolutely beautiful. It is so peaceful and quiet. Sometimes we felt like we were the only people on the island. It was about a 35 minute drive to Parris Island, but the scenery along the way made the drive seem shorter. I have only taken vacations in crowded areas with lots of tourists. This was unlike any other vacation I have ever taken and everyone in our group is already talking about going back in the future.

The house was big and well accommodated our large family. It was a nice house but needed updating and new living room furniture with matching drapes. It could really be made beautiful!

Left on 07/18/2012 for a stay in July 2012
We had a family reunion and we rented Beach Music and Southern Comfort. The pool was a nice retreat from the ocean and sand - plus you don't really need the Fripp passes when you have a pool in your backyard!! The living room was great for our family gatherings! Everyone had the best time and we plan on coming back!

Grand Rapids, Michigan, United StatesGreat House and Location
Left on 04/18/2012 for a stay in April 2012
We stayed at Beach Music the first week of april 2012. The house was wonderfully set up for my family of four plus extended family, a total of 6 adults and 4 children and we all had plenty of space. The house is located so close to the beach and the pool was a hot spot for the kids as well as the adults. The screened in porch was great; we could eat a meal, watch the deer at the waterway, see the golfers and supervise the pool. We had two minor issues during our stay which were addressed very quickly. Fripp Island has a lot to offer; wildlife, beach, pools and many bike/walking paths. We hope to make this a yearly rental for our family.

Left on 04/11/2012 for a stay in April 2012
The house was perfect for our family of three generations, six adults, three young boys and a teenage girl. We walked the beach daily, swam in the pool at least three times a day, rode bikes, crabbed, fished, and played golf. Great fun had by all and wonderful together time. What more could you ask for?
A couple of problems at the house were handled professionally and very quickly. -

Martinsville, VAThe view from the porch forced you to relax and appreciate natur
Left on 03/15/2012 for a stay in August 2011
The shared sentiment of all of our family members was we had an experience that left us all with "warm fuzzies". The sheer geography of the beach was awesome and breath taking at the turn of the tide. The children could romp and play in 1-2 inches of water at low tide! The view from the porch of the ocean and the quiteness of the neighborhood subdued you into relaxation and appreciate nature's wonderment. The private pool was thoroughly enjoyed by all. The deck and pool accessiblity were perfect for tending to younger children and relaxing during playtime (day and night). The island stay was perfect to escape the hustle and bustle of town and truely absorb the vacation experience. Everyone loved the closeness of the home to two beach access points. Watching deer lounge in the yard and walking up and down the street was surreal. Our family sincerely appreciated the owners flexibility and graciousness to accomodate our family of 14 after 9 years of not vacationing together. The two service calls that were made to the office were promptly resolved.

My husband and I have been coming to Fripp for 35 years and Beach Music is at the top of the list as one of our favorites. Comfortable, nice spaces for different activities, good kitchen space, and the heated pool were all great. It was a great place to visit with all our family and friends who came for the wedding.

Hickory North CarolinaWe love Fripp and the house w pool but it has deteriorated
Left on 08/18/2011 for a stay in June 2011
We love the home and its relaxed atmosphere. The pool is wonderful and the location if fine for us. This is our second time in the home. This year the inside seems to have deteriorated; like the shelves in the fridge were broken and not replaced which is a big deal for a large family. The ice machines did not work. The kitchen was very disorganized with many of some things and not enough of another. Also the cleaning leaves something to be desired. Also we would have liked to have more tools to clean during the week for ourselves but only a vaccum and a very dirty broom were available. The washer/dryer knobs were broken so you had to really be careful about doing a load of laundry making sure your setting was correct. We brought our own fans this year as downstairs can be very stuffy; the fans help. I think a little TLC would go a long way to insure that folks would keep coming back.

Golden Anniversary Celebration
Easley, South CarolinaThis home was big enough to provide privacy for our big family.
Left on 08/17/2011 for a stay in July 2011
The pool is great for swimming or just sitting under the umbrella with a cool drink. You access the beach a couple of houses up the street, by golf car or walk. We cooked big fabulous meals for a party of fifteen to eighteen all week. The kitchen is small, but efficient. The great room is big for group TV viewing, if you like. The front porch is big with rockers and for viewing the ocean. The back porch is perfect for working puzzles or reading. We were able to see our boys playing golf on the eighth hole. The big dining room table is perfect for computers or conversation. The downstairs held our teenage grandchildren and friends, with wide airy looking steps going down from our long hallway, they weren't far away. We had a great time!

North Augusta, SCBeautiful Place with Maintenance Issues
Left on 07/20/2011 for a stay in July 2011
A beautiful home with a great location. The house is across the street from the beach. Beach access is a short walk five houses south. Once there, it is a couple of hundred yards across the wide dunes (the dunes are unusually wide at the part of Fripp). We loved the screen in porch in the back, and it was great to have a private pool in the backyard. The back is beautifully landscaped. Bedrooms upstairs were very nice. Unfortunately, we drew the short straw and stayed in the queen bedroom downstairs. This bedroom was very small, and there was not much ventilation. The only source of air downstairs was a small unit in the bunkbed room -- so we had to keep the doors open at night. We ended up buying a small fan to keep the room cooler. The downstairs bed is probably better suited for the kids. We found the house was not as clean as it could be. Some areas had an accumulation of dirt (like on the light fixtures). The cleaning service probably needs to spend a limit more time here, at least occasionally. The pool was cleaned twice during our stay -- but the only thing he really did was use a net to stir up the dirt at the bottom of the pool. We ended up vacuuming the pool ourselves - it only took a few minutes, and really made a difference. We found that the cookware in the kitchen is due for some updates. But overall, we enjoyed our stay, and would recommend to others. We had plenty of room.

Odessa, New Port Richey and Tampa Florida and Richmond VirginiaA great moms and kids beach week
Left on 06/22/2011 for a stay in June 2011
This was our 7th Moms and Kids Beach Week always at a different beach and house. Fripp Island is half way between Richmond Va and New Port Richey/Tampa Fl--we found it on Google Earth! We searched the available houses and chose Beach Music because of size/configuration of bedrooms and because it has a pool. Our group is "grandma Marsha: me" and my 3 daughters plus (this year) 7 grandchildren. What a perfect house for us! We women each had a bedroom and the kids had the first floor. We loved the large living room for watching movies and playing games and the huge dining room table: just right for the 11 of us.
So the house was great but also we enjoyed golf, kayaking, the beach, shopping and eating in Beaufort and especially Hunting Island State Park--we went there two days. At the state park we climbed the steps in the lighthouse, biked and hiked the hills and woods, enjoyed the beach then watched the sunset across the marsh. -

We came to Fripp Island for vacation and to attend my son's Marine graduation at Parris Island. We couldn't have been more thrilled with our choice to stay at "Beach Music." The home's design was great for our large family, allowing everyone their own space to spread out and relax. We had everything we needed for cooking meals and the large dining table fit everyone, so we could all eat together. We especially loved the pool and spent a great deal of time lounging and swimming. The landscape around the pool offered privacy and a beautiful setting. We enjoyed the ocean view and the beach was just a short walk and absolutely perfect! I cannot say enough about our experience. We will certainly be returning and highly recommend the home for those looking for a vacation rental that has it all.

Left on 04/14/2011 for a stay in April 2011
2 parents, 3 grown children with 3 spouses and 4 grandchildren 5 and under stayed at "Beach Music" for 1 week. Can't say what was enjoyed the most but high on the list would be meal time. We could all sit around the huge table with plenty of elbow room. The pool also ranked high as did the location. So close to beach access points.
Great layout as well. We appreciated the door between the living area and the bedrooms. That really helped at nap time! We also liked the double washer/dryer. Hope to be able to visit again! -

We stayed at Beach Music in March and had a very enjoyable stay. If you are
looking for a place that is large enough to accomadate two large families that
has everything you need then contact Seaside Getaways. The kids (and Adults)
loved the pool in the backyard. They had everything we needed for making
meals for a large group of people. We enjoyed the view tremendously and slept
every night with our sliding doors open to the sound of the ocean to lull us
asleep. We had plenty of space for the kids to play and they really enjoyed the
deer that were almost as friendly as a pet. We had quietness and barely would
see another person at the beach that was within walking distance. What a
retreat! Thanks Greta! -

Charlotte NCCouples getaway vacation
Left on 09/18/2009 for a stay in September 2008
This house needs some TLC. The backyard was wonderful with the heated pool and views of the golf course. Inside the decor is dated, mattresses are very hard and only had 2 king beds. The other queen beds are squished into rooms that are too small (one did not even have a dresser or closet) Roaches overran the kitchen when you flipped on the lights. The television was extremely small for the large living area. The screens on the porch were loose and flapping in the wind and did little to keep the bugs out.
Because we spent most of the time in the backyard, these inconveniences did not hamper our fun.
