Description from the manager
Watch incredible sunsets and wonderful views from the screened porch. Golf Cart included in the rent. A very private setting, yet only a short walk to the best part of the beach on the island. This beautifully decorated home is a cheerful respite from a day spent on the beach! Relax on the rear deck or screen porch in complete privacy. Fripp Island is only three miles long so everything is close by. We have two golf courses, Ocean Creek being open just seven years is a Davis Love signature course, and the other course called Ocean Point, is a true ocean/links type course . Both will test your skills, especially if the winds pick up.Ten tennis...Read more

We liked the location, the spacious grounds around the house and the large deck to enjoy the afternoon sun. The interior layout was spacious and well conceived. The house was well equipped. The golf cart to tour the island was most appreciated. It was fun to watch the deer roam around the house.
The manager, Seaside Getaways provided great service when required, which was not often. The rating assigned to the house was accurate. One improvement might be the bed in the master bedroom along with the sheets and pillows.
The month was cold and windy by any standard, which restricted all outdoor activities. In addition, the house took sometime to feel warm and dry. Warm blankets would have been appreciated. Beach access was not quite as easy as we had expected because there was a large pond of water that we had to walk around to reach the ocean. The alternative was taking the golf cart to other access points, which worked well.
One suggestion would be maintaining a binder with menus of the local eating establishments. -

We returned to Sand Escape for the second time and enjoyed it even more than last year. The house works well for a small family and we love the location close to the beach on a quiet street. Having use of the golf cart was a huge plus so that we didn't need to use our car and all the hassle of car seats for the kiddies. Seaside Getaways( esp Charissa) is helpful for anything you need and we took advantage of their free Dvds!
It was a bit chilly at times and we tried to use the fireplace but finding dry wood is a problem. Would be nice if it were a propane fire that we could just switch on. Less messy too!
Only negative was the quality of the linens. The sheets were very thin and scratchy. Could use replacing and maybe some thicker mattress pads to offset the relatively firm beds. The coffee maker did not function properly and needs replacing. But these are small things compared to the cheerfulness of the decor, the layout of the house, and the charm of Fripp. We will be back in 2014! -

Greenville, SCA Wonderful Fall Experience
Left on 10/18/2012 for a stay in October 2012
The house was a big surprise as it was nice and cosy, conveniently located to the beach, much better the many other locations, quiet and safe for our kids.
The house had everything we were looking for, a screened porch with a wonderful back yard, a nice and well equipped kitchen, plenty of space and the rooms were all on one floor. The kids loved to take a ride with the golf cart with us.
We saw plenty of wildlife around the house too.
We would have liked a flat screen TV with Hdmi port to attach some of our own equipment but the DVD system in the house proved to be sufficient.
The only disturbance we had were a few palmetto bugs every day in the house, may be because of the change to colder weather during our stay.
We would rentt this house again and will recommend it to our friends.

The house was very nice both inside and out. The location provided a short walk to the beach (at the end of Pompano)or a short ride to anywhere on the island with their lightening-fast golf cart. Booking through Seaside Getaways (as we have done on several trips to the area) provided us with exceptional service, as always. The house is centrally located on a quiet palm lined street but is within walking distance to the shops, tennis, dining and of course the munchie shop where we were able to get our 'Starbucks fix' :)
We would rent the house again and recommend it to our friends -

I just returned from a week at Sand Escape with my son, his wife, and their 2 boys, aged 1 and 3. We loved the house and being all on one floor made life very easy with the little ones. The location was perfect for us so close to the beach and the beachclub area. The golf cart was a huge plus and meant we did not need a car when my son left for 2 days. The decor is bright and cheery and fresh. We will definitely be back!

The Ochs Family
Moores Hill, InNice Fripp Island rental home.
Left on 08/25/2011 for a stay in August 2011
My family enjoyed our vacation stay on Fripp once again. We vacation here nearly every summer. The rental house on Pompano was very cute and clean. The extra fridge was great to have. I would certainly
consider renting this home again. I wish I had known there were bikes there for our kids and we wouldn't have brought ours. It would have also been nice to have more bath towels and wash cloths for our 6 people staying in the home. The location of this house was also great as for getting to the beach and pools and provided some privacy on a low populated street.

My husband, son, parents and I loved staying in this house on our recent trip to Fripp Island. The home is comfortable, beautifully furnished and very functional. The screened in porch and deck are wonderful places to read or just relax. The kitchen is well appointed with everything you need to make a great meal. The decor is perfect for this beach home. We all loved the use of the golf cart - especially our 2 year old - and the many beach accessories provided. The outdoor shower is great after a long day at the beach. The location was perfect - close to the beach and other amenities the Island has to offer.

alexandria, vagreat house in a great location
Left on 05/18/2011 for a stay in May 2011
Very nice house in a great location. The house was quite clean except for the grill. Old pieces of meat were stuck to it from previous use and the place mats in the drawer had dried food stains on them. All this didn't bother us too much, but hence just a 4 star rating for cleanliness...other than that this was one of the better kept vacation homes I have seen. good firm mattresses!
There was also room under the house for kids to play on a rainy day and the street had so little traffic that I felt totally comfortable leaving my 3 and 5 year old scootering in the driveway while we made dinner upstairs.
Constructive criticism part: It would be nice to add some beach toys to the house, seeing that you seem to have a lot of young families staying there and don't forget the parents and give the house some more wine glasses!!! The chairs on the deck are a little uncomfortable if you want to spend some time reading; a couple of chaise lounge chairs would have been perfect. -

This home is perfect for two small families. The street is quiet, yet walking distance (2 blocks) from the beach, food court, and pools. The deer came out daily to feed in the big open backyard. The kids were safe to play soccer out back or ride scooters in the driveway. The deck got great sun for a relaxing afternoons after golfing or for nap time. We have been renting on Fripp for years and I would not hesitate to rent this property again. It had everything we needed for a fantastic week. We fondly refered to it as our " vacation bungalo".

Rock Hill, SCA fun family vacation
Left on 09/18/2009 for a stay in June 2009
The service from Seaside Getaways is top notch. When calling their office or stopping by we received friendly helpful attention. Sand Escape was nicely appointed and clean. We enjoyed the location of the home and the nice yard that the children could play in. We appreciate that the home came with a golf cart to help us around on the island without further expense. This was our second time staying on Fripp and our second time with Seaside Getaways. We hope that we can return for another family vacation in the future. The only issues that we have with Fripp Island is the need of amintey cards for food or pool use. We would gladly pay a fee for using the pools but $50 per person is a little unfriendly, in my mind, to buy meals or ice cream. We are spending money to stay on the island and feel that we can bring our business to the establishments there without having an amentiy card so we take our dining off island. Thank you for this opportunity to share our experiences.
