We had been visiting Yal Ku Lagoon for almost 15 years and always loved staying in Akumal, especially directly on the lagoon. We traveled extensively and found ourselves saying, "this is nice, but it isn't Akumal", or "it isn't Yal Ku". So when we found a villa for sale directly on the lagoon, we could not pass it up.
We then followed up by buying the property with the best location in all of Akumal: Casa Romero.
