The Meru House was not conceived as a commercial venture. Tucked next to a family get-away-house within Nkubu - a vibrant commercial and agricultural hub of the Meru County (18 KM's to Meru town) and at the foot of world famous Mount Kenya, this small cosy facility was intended to cater for family visits into their upcountry roots but the excess capacity in un-used room nights made for a strong case to turn commercial. That is why in every detail you will find and experience at this B&B, there will be that natural character of being home

We want you to have that relaxed, warm and easy homely feel because we are a small facility with double rooms that can for now only accommodate up to 8 people - in top end comfort of fine interiors, finished to detail areas and fine decor all round. Each room is fitted with hot showers that are solar powered, purposely stretched to even light the whole complex including the outdoor and external security lighting
This green energy concept is backed up with the standard power grid to cover for those not very sunny days - which is unusual for this central eastern part of Kenya. Furthermore, we wanted to guarantee you with 24/7 access to power.And to complete your comfortable and functional stay, we have provided you access to free WiFi in addition to television and DVD equipment installed in all the bedrooms and the mini dining section.
