Our Story

In 2005 my brother (Joe Donnelly) and I (John Paul Donnelly) decided to design and build Dream Villas, a project in Alanya, Turkey. The concept was to build 5-Star private villas to be used as holiday homes and as investments. The picture I had in my mind was of family and friends spending quality time together in these lovely villas. I have a big family, 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Yes 8 kids in the family. So spending quality time together means the world to me. Our dream became a reality and our first villa project was built and sold. I realised our clients that purchased them were only getting the opportunity to enjoy the villas 2-4 weeks a year. It did not feel right that these lovely 5-Star Villas were empty for 48 weeks a year, when they could be enjoyed by other families. Therefore 5-Star Villa Holidays was Founded in March 2011.

Our Philosophy

What started out as a rental business to help cover the running costs for the Dream Villa owners, became more purposeful, rewarding and meaningful. I thought long and hard about 5-Star Villa Holidays, the brand, the concept, the purpose. The Why… It’s not just about renting villas. It’s about preparing the perfect holiday villa for family and friends to spend quality time together. And what makes this global community so special is the wonderful friends and family in it. I love meeting the family and friends in our community, listening to their stories and watching them creating life long memories together. The purpose of 5-Star Villa Holidays is exactly that. To enjoy quality time together with friends and family. So when I think of one word that sums up our purpose, brand, the Why? The core of our business, the word is “Togetherness”.
