Mandalay is owned by us, a British-Italian couple. When we first came to Bali we stayed in Seminyak, attracted by the boutiques and world-class restaurants. But the traffic, tourists and touts soon got to us. We also fell in love with Ubud, Bali’s artistic and spiritual heart, but it was too far from the ocean. We wanted both, but from a base that was our Bali dream - tranquility, rice terraces, tropical jungle, and stunning views. Eventually we found Mandalay and it gave us exactly that: the peace, the views and yet easy access to places like Canggu, Seminyak and Ubud and only 5 minutes from the ocean. We renovated and furnished it to the highest standards and even trained the staff ourselves. Having stayed in many high-end hotels around the world, we were very clear about what we wanted (and didn't want), the features and services we’d so often dreamed about but never quite found. We think we’ve managed to make that dream come true. But why not come to see for yourself?
