I own the house I live in and my studio/rental is in my downstairs. My Grandfather was a Two Star Major General in WW2, and the Class of 1915 from West Point. He and my grandmother bought three acres and the house next door in 1945. The properties have always been in our family until my brother sold the big house next door last year. I came from Chapel Hill to renovate my grandparents house to sell it and when the full moon rose over the mountains I grew up seeing, I decided to buy my siblings out and come home. It has been a great place to land. The house was designed by a protégé of Frank Lloyd Wright’s and has a fabulous floor plan. The expansive sky is always changing, the birds are always chirping, and the neighborhood is safe and kind.
I have been an artistic welder for over twenty years so lots of metal art surrounds the property and inside the studio.

The studio has its own entrance and privacy is premium. I love meeting my guests and being of assistance about places to go and fun things to do while in Asheville.
The studio has a very comfortable king size bed, a desk for work, a small kitchen and a bathroom with a walk-in shower. It is bright and sunny and has a beautiful view of the mountains. The property is spacious with gardens and yard, a fire pit and several spots to sit and enjoy the quiet. I am seven minutes to town, with several fabulous breweries on the way. Uber and Lift are frequently picking up guests.
There are hiking trails within minutes with spectacular views. Community Free Yoga is within walking distance. Beaver Lake is close by and if walking from here, around it and back, it’s about four miles.
