Kona Beach House
Along with the Plantation Managers' Beach House, our family has owned these two ocean front homes in Kona since the middle of the last century. About ten years ago we decided to share our homes with those seeking to experience Hawai'i as we knew it in the 1940's and '50's. The houses are maintained in that style, the Plantation Manager's Beach House is furnished with items from the plantation manager's house in Paauilo and heirlooms from Marjorie's ancestors, some of whom arrived in New England as long ago as the 1500's. We are reintroducing native and endemic plants throughout the grounds. We strive to protect the endangered honu (green sea turtles) that live in our lagoon, as well as the coral and reef fish that abound in the lagoon and the ocean just beyond our ancient Hawaiian rock walls. We love our little piece of heaven, are delighted to have the opportunity to share it with you and hope you will treasure it as much as we do.
