I fell in love with Mahahual, Costa Maya because it reminded me of the Mexico I knew before the over-development of Cancun and its surrounding area. I've been coming to the Mexican Caribbean since I was nineteen and have brought my children here since they were small. I've always loved the multicolored Caribbean Sea and am so pleased that I realized my dream of having a home right on the beach just steps away from its turquoise blue waters. I enjoy the year round warm weather, being near Mayan ruins and being able to go scuba diving often. I chose this location so I could have a large beach and be surrounded by nature.
The sea awaits me for my early morning swim. I head back to the house for a coffee which I often drink on the expansive patio. I love looking out at the palm trees and the shore beyond.. I relish reading a book in one of the colorful hammocks on the patio. Taking a walk along the beach and observing tropical birds and aminals is delight. I even saw a jaguar once.
