Allison and Tama have lived in Western North Carolina since 1979, and it’s no surprise they fell in love with the scenic beauty, as many do when they come to the area. It is this love and their passion to protect the land that inspired them to help others create their own mountain home while preserving the qualities of the area that draw people here in the first place.
Allison and Tama first embarked in vacation rentals in 1994 with the creation of Water Rock Garden Retreat in the Great Smoky Mountains near Cherokee, North Carolina. In 2010, Tama and Allison introduced Lakeside Garden Cottage in Asheville.
The response to the Retreat was overwhelming, and many of its visitors expressed their dream of having their own mountain homes. Since 2005, Allison and Tama have also assisted people in fulfilling their dreams of finding the perfect mountain getaway through their real estate company Idylwood Properties.
