World travellers, owners and frequent vacationers at Casa Selva.
We first visited San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua in 2008 when we hopped over the border from Costa Rica in an attempt to get away from all the tour buses. It was love at first site. Life is a little slower, and more laid back in Nicaragua. Local customs and culture are still important and intact, and frankly, it's paradise. Beautiful, wild empty beaches, awesome surfing, and beautiful wildlife. Nicaragua is the kind of place where you can still have a bit of a adventure, but enjoy a fantastic meal at the end of the night with a cold Tona beer.
If you are looking for that last bit of Central America, that is wild and untamed, where there is still exotic wildlife and real rancheros, then Nicaragua is the place for you.
