We are a husband and wife business now calling ourselves "Monmouthshire Cottages" . We personally manage ( that means we do eveything from answering your e mails to ironing the linen) three five star cottages in the spectacularly lovely Wye Valley and Vale of Usk Monmouthshire, south east Wales.UK.
Our cottages are not a complex, they are all indiviually located and styled. We take a pride in their level of cleanliness and welcome , as do the two ladies who help us, and we work hard at keeping our style and our facilities up to date. We also take our website photos ourselves. Clearly we try show the houses at their best but there are no tricks - what you see is what you get. . We try to welcome you personally on arrival so that you settle in quickly and comfortably..
We boast a high level of repeat business over 17 years and we were so proud when we were awarded the accolade of Best Self Catering Place to Stay in Wales by Visit Wales ( the Official Tourist Board) in 2010.Our high level of repeat guest bookings and our reviews say how hard we genuinely try to please. Come see!

We just returned from Vanilla Cottage after 4 days of heaven. The cottage is very well kitted out (everything you need) and spotless. It sits just above the River Usk and there is great walking from the doorstep for us and our dogs (2 Norfolk terriers; this was their holiday).

The cottage itself is immaculate with everything you could ask for! Every kitchen utensil and crockery ask (including childrens plastic tablewares, a jacuzzi bath, a spare brolly, a reusable shopping bag, a spare dog lead, a stair gate… See more

Our last minute decision to take a break at Foxes Reach was a great one. Everything provided in the cottage was of a high standard; with those little touches, like the table laid ready for our first meal and the blackcurrent vodka taster, making us feel at home as soon as got there. Our dog got a new lease of life with the walks and we all recharged our batteries! A beautiful place to stay.
