I teach geology and oceanography at Florida State College in Jacksonville. I really enjoy the scenic 45 minute drive along A1A between Jacksonville and Fernandina. We often stop to kayak or ride bikes along the old fishing bridges. There is also a new mall and multiplex theater between the Jacksonville and Fernandina exits on I-95.
