16 years ago, Michaela and Adriano, the owners of Alam Indah, met in the Philippines, in a tiny village called Badat, which lies amongst the famous rice terraces of Banaue. Since then the Philippines became their preferred holiday destination whereby they were particularly enchanted by Busuanga and the surrounding islands. Michaela is of Austrian and Adriano of Italian origin. Together they speak English, German, French, Italian and they make an effort to master the local language which is Tagalog.

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderfully relaxing six days at alam Indah during the 2014 Chinese New Year Holidays. Our simple, but elegant villa was beautifully situated among the trees, above the rolling waves of the sea with a wrap around veranda.
