Shrouded in mist, nestled in an area of spectacular scenery, biodiversity and rich in cultural history lies the Cassiar Cannery, the longest consecutively operated salmon cannery on the West Coast.

Now in its 126th year, the Cassiar Cannery is an example of diversification and participation in the conservation economy through boat works, tourism, science and research and custom woodwork.

It has never been unoccupied over its 126 years and has touched and connected people from all over the world. It is a place of friends, family and fond memories. It inspired people to work hard and is inspiring in itself.

This is still occurring to this day. Our four furnished waterfront Guest Houses continue to bring together friends and family from near and far for a chance to connect with spectacular nature and to each other. Virtually every visitor becomes a part of this marvelous place through personal experience. It offers a chance to unplug, unwind and enjoy some of life’s pleasures. Rated five stars on Trip Advisor, the Cassiar Cannery’s clean and uniquely beautiful Guest Houses delight the senses: smell the cedar and the fresh air, listen to the call of eagles and gentle waves, see the fabulous setting, touch your luxurious bed and taste some of the fresh seafood the North Coast is renowned for.

Join us and discover what thousands of people before you can attest – there is something remarkable about this place. Cassiar Cannery –where history and nature meet.
