Under restoration and diversification since the summer of 2006, Cassiar Cannery was once the longest consecutively operated salmon cannery on the West Coast. Located on the ocean, at the mouth of the Skeena River, Cassiar Cannery is in a very unique estuarine ecosystem with endless opportunities for birdwatching, photography or just watching the North Coast's active tides.

Cassiar is a bit out of the way, but if you don't need to be next to a store or theater, you'll not find a better place to relax. The Inverness Passage is your front yard, and it, along with the changing tides and the variable weather delivers you "literally" a different scene each and every day.
