21 Shoregate has been rented out by the family since April 2009. Susan and her housekeeper Karen both take great pride in the cottage and pull out all the stops to ensure guests feel it is their own seaside home during their stay. Works by various Scottish artists adorn the walls, and as Susan and her husband, Jason, use the cottage for their own holidays they have made sure that the furnishings, bedding and bed linen are of the highest quality. The kitchen is particularly well-stocked for a holiday cottage, with such extras as a coffee grinder, cafetieres, milk frother, salad spinner, hand blender, and microwave. Susan and Karen provide a welcome basket with a few simple groceries - coffee, tea, butter and milk, bread from Crail's own bakery, Scottish biscuits and jam etc, as well as a bottle of decent wine from Luvians in St Andrews, and there are always fresh flower - , when possible from the garden - to add that special touch.

Discounted spring week at 21 Shoregate
21 Shoregate is fully booked till September - except for a single week, now free due to a late cancellation. We are offering this fabulous week in May at a £110 discount on our standard May rate. You pay £500 for the week instead of £610. May is a glorious month in Fife - the gorse bursts into golden bloom along the coastal path scenting the air with its coconutty perfume. It's a great month for walkers. Also a great month for gourmets. The smokehouse at St Monans has re-opened, selling locally caught and smoked langoustines. If you prefer to have your own BBQ overlooking the sea - why not pick up some lobsters at Crail harbour's crab stores, 2 minutes walk from your front door, and grill them in the garden!
