We came by chance to the island of Lefkas on a sailing holiday and fell in love with its funky undeveloped character, its mixture of the traditional Greece - goat bells, farmers travelling by donkey and stunning scenery. We discovered the area around Amoussa Bay and the remote Lipsopirgos peninsula (one of the least developed parts of the island) and fell under its spell.
After several diversions we eventually bought an ancient 1-acre olive grove. We designed the house and used local trademen to build the basic structure but we then finished it ourselves. We wanted to keep it as ecological as possible so we built in wood and installed photo-electric panels and solar hot water.
The villa's negligible carbon footprint doesn't compromise on comfort. Designed to be airy and with stunning views the property is completely private and not overlooked. Perfect for a couple or small family - even for a honeymoon - a romantic and beautiful situation. We know you'd have a wonderful holiday there!
