David & Berni Strachan bought Greengate in 2003 having been holidaying in the area for many years. When the opportunity to buy Greengate arose, it was too good an opportunity to miss. We spent 6 months renovating the property and bringing it into the 21st century.
We spend as much time as we can with our young family and friends, never tiring of the cottage and area.There is so much to do within a short drive and we enjoy spending days messing about in the beck running through the village and eating in the Crown Inn where we enjoy watching the world go by in the summer early evenings.
