Landscape Architect Karen Gray was educated at the U.C.
Berkeley School of Landscape Architecture. She and her husband, a designer/builder, bought the historic Point Reyes Schoolhouse in 1978 and restored it along with the sourrounding cottages. She lives part time on the Schoolhouse Compound. Gray personally designed the sheltered outdoor rooms for each guest, furnishing with hammocs, dining sets, chaise lounges and some with outdoor fireplaces.
