Landscape Architect Karen Gray was educated at the U.C.
Berkeley School of Landscape Architecture. She and her husband, a designer/builder, bought the historic Point Reyes Schoolhouse in 1978 and restored it along with the sourrounding cottages. She lives part time on the Schoolhouse Compound. Gray personally designed the sheltered outdoor rooms for each guest, furnishing with hammocs, dining sets, chaise lounges and some with outdoor fireplaces. this a a really unique place to stay.The place is fantastic and close to everything in Point Reyes.You can walk to downtown in about 5 minutes,where you have the great Bovine Bakery and several shops and eateries that are very good.You will love staying here
