I moved to Hawaii 27 years ago, but my husband is a Kamaaina, and was born in Honolulu, then moved to this property in 1947, when his father, who was the plantation doctor for the sugar company, purchased the land. Doc Eveleth was loved in the North Kohala area, and we love being on the property continuing to care for this special property. Since our retirement, we spend time here enjoying the community, and our wonderful farm, just relaxing, and pursuing our hobbies. If you are looking for a vacation experience that provides relaxation, away from stress and the obligations of your daily life, this is the place for you. An artists dream, a writers inspiration, a place of reflection, Hawi Farms is all these things and more. The birds awake you in the morning, and the large stand of bamboo whispers to you as the sun sets. Cooler than other parts of the island, the light night breezes give you a nights rest you haven't had in years. Our visitors never want to leave.
