Richard and I bought the condo in 2009 to get away for a bit from cold winters in Alaska! We have extensively explored the area by bicycle and have kayaked the refuge lagoon system and have placed maps on our website of some nearby kayak and bike rides to take. We hope others discover this wonderful paradise and can get out and explore the Barqueta Refuge next door. After spending months here we have barely touched upon all the possible kayak and bicycle opportunities. Richard has been actively recording all his GPS tracklogs while cycling and kayaking and can provide GPS coordinates to many landmarks. We enjoy a late afternoon ride through the local area for a cool drink and to dance or continue a few miles further for a fruit smoothie. The people here are the friendliest we have ever met and we feel totally safe wherever we travel.
