The owners of Villa Solymar, Denny and Diane Mahan, have been living on the Mexican Caribbean coast since the mid 80’s, long before it was called the Riviera Maya. They have traveled all over Mexico since the early 70’s and the Riviera Maya, especially the Akumal area, is by far their favorite spot. It is a safe, adventuresome and wonderful place to live or vacation. They have bought, sold and built many villas in the Akumal area. The owners currently use the villa themselves in the winters and rent the villa the balance of the year while they spend time at their home on Lake Oconee in Georgia near their children, grandchildren and other family who live in the area.
