My partner, Richard Vesely, and I own these properties on the island. Richard has been on the island since the early 70s and I arrived in 2004. My first house here on the island was the cottage at Channel Point, aka Bird Cottage. I still love that little place. The location is stellar! The cottage itself is comfortable and as the real estate people say, "cozy". It is small, but perfect for a family of up to 6. In addition to being the first realtor on the island, Richard is also an architect. He designed The Moorings, and before breaking ground we decided we'd like to customize The Moorings South as our home. We moved in spring of 2008 and began renting both the cottage at Channel Point and The Moorings North. We have now decided to share and begin renting The Moorings South. It's bittersweet as we have loved living here, but there is a house on the beach in North Carolina that is calling my name.
Our goal is to make our properties welcoming, clean, comfortable, well equipped and the perfect setting for a memorable vacation here on the island.

Some may find the old mismatched furniture charming. The bullheaded backyard is nice as is the screened in porch. Be sure to bring all toiletries as they provide … See more

Our first experience was walking into the living room space at sunset and feeling as if we were in the midst of a postcard...the view was amazing. The home itself, from the high-end finishes and furnishings to the more-than-adequate parking space was wonderful. From the owner to … See more
