I am a retired school teacher from Pennsylvania. My husband and I love Mexico, particularly Puerto Vallarta, and try to spend 6 months of the year there. We teach English on a volunteer basis in a poor colonia near the dump and just started a free mobile library called the Vallarta Bookmobile through a charity called Compassionate Impact. We visit the outer areas where there are no libraries. My husband is a photographer and is so grateful for the many opportunities that he has such photographing the whales, the surfers at San Pancho as well as the volunteer work we do.
We chose to by in Puerto Vallarta because it has it all. It is on the Bay of Banderas and is both a resort and city at the same time. It offers the beach, cultural activities, art galleries, whale watching, hiking, a fabulous botanical garden, and some of the finest food in all of Mexico. The people here are friendly and helpful. A visit to Puerto Vallarta is more than a vacation it is an experience.

When we arrived the maid was just leaving the condo and everything sparkled. The condo is equipped with everything you need and the decor is warm and rich. The view from the 14th floor balcony encompasses the entire bay and it is amazing. The next time … See more
