We bought La Varenne in 2006, and love it so much we moved out here 3 years later. We feel very lucky.

We renovated the barn intending to create a maison des amis for family and friends, then we moved in, 'down-sizing'! We now have a beautiful, spacious 4-bedroomed farmhouse, perfect for families and friends, and anyone who likes a bit more space.

With good broadband access, we're able to work from home, and walk, swim or cycle in the afternoon - which is just as well, as the local restaurants are wonderful.

The Dronne Valley is beautiful. We're on the edge of a peaceful village, rather than the middle of nowhere, and are just a short drive from everything we need.

The local café is only a 5 minute walk away, and improving our French is a great reason to visit!
