My husband James and I moved up to
The North York Moors to create a long distance riding centre in 1986.
James was a farmer and I ran a riding school from the farm for a number of years before we moved.
We made a successful business, even appearing on television on "Wish you were here!"
Sadly it all came to an abrupt end when I was kicked by a horse and 21 operations later my leg still refused to mend
and I had to have the leg amputated.
Suddenly James and I had to totally rethink our lives and the direction we were taking.
So, our lovely old barn took on a new lease of life and became The Little Barn!
After many years of holidaying in cottages ourselves we have enjoyed putting all the details we most appreciated during those breaks into The Little barn and welcome any further suggestions you might have where we can improve further!
We have five daughters and five grandchildren (so far!)
