Early 2010, our fun-filled family embarked on four months of remodeling to transform this lakefront home into Rivendell!

After taking prayer and writing retreats for 17 years, the door opened for us to create a retreat home of our own.

Through the miracle of adoption, we are the overjoyed parents of three outrageously creative children. Our eldest is gifted with Asperger's Syndrome, our middle is graced with extroverted compassion, and our youngest is currently seeking to master burping the ABCs... We home school part-time, parent full-time, and laugh a lot to stay sane.

Our personal residence is about one hour from Rivendell -- out in the country where you can count the stars. We are the happy guardians of 4 rescued dogs, 3 odd cats, 9 unusually social chickens, and 1 confused rabbit.
